• Let me preface this by saying I am a HVAC contractor myself… Boise Valley worked for a realtor that we bought our house from. In my experience the prices they charged this realtor for their services is pretty lofty, $934 for $45 in parts and 1 hour of labor is pretty pricey. The biggest issue is they installed the wrong size capacitor for the motor and burned the motor up. Every business has overhead that is different but if you’re going to charge a premium at least install the right parts. I’m not trying to slander just would like to educate and inform everyone. Not all HVAC companies are created equal.

• Can't recommend this company. Set an appointment for Thursday 12:00 noon. Didn't show until nearly 2:00. I called to see if there was a problem and was told my appointment was the next day. Ten minutes later they called and said the tech was running late but would be there in 15 min. I told them about the earlier call and they appologized saying they confused me with another customer. Tech showed after nearly 40 min. He was on site at the most 5 minutes. Said all is good and left. $49 bucks for that experience. :( JP

• UPDATE: Having some issues with the mini split, and hosting a party at my house on Sat 8/17/24. Called BVH&A on a Monday morning (8/12/24) to get in their schedule for repair/service, in which the gentleman on the phone (who I woke up at 8:30am) told me I was on the schedule Friday 8/16 between 8a-12p. Friday rolled around, I called their office at 10:30am to verify they were coming - Same gentleman answered the phone, looked and said I wasn’t on their schedule…maybe the owner (Dennis) had scheduled it personally and it wasn’t in their books. (Note - I knew I had talked to him earlier in the week, he was definitely lying to me since he forgot to put me on the schedule). He said he would call Dennis to verify what was going on. Never called back (still hasn’t) and wouldn’t answer the phone for the rest of the day…and it was too late to get anyone else to come out before the weekend. It’s unfortunate that the original install was so great, and this experience completely negated that work. So many other companies to choose from (Preece!!) and I no longer recommend this place. Good luck with your lying and not taking ownership of things, BVH&A. ——————————————————————— My experience with Boise Valley Heating and Air could not have gone better. I would absolutely recommend them for any HVAC needs you might have. My situation was a ductless mini split install into an external building/shop, and B.V.H&A made financial sense by at least 1/2 the cost of their competitors - big or small. Yes, they were half the price, same service, same warranty. From the beginning, Dennis was open and honest about pricing, timelines, and warranty. When I asked questions, he was quick with an answer on the smallest details, never making me feel like I asked a dumb question. I couldn’t be more happy with the install they performed, and I will use them again. As I said earlier, I couldn’t recommend them more, especially if you’re looking for quality work at such a great price.

• I would never have this company back in my home again. Completely incompetent Technician came to my home (without a call ahead). Mis-diagnosed my A/C issue and stated there was nothing wrong with my unit. I don’t think an A/C running continuously for 4+ hours and only reaching 84 degrees is correct. Had a reputable HVAC company out and they found the system over-charged by 2+ lbs. The wrong piston was installed on original installation. Don’t waste your time and money with this company. They have no clue what they are doing.
