We hired Devon from Burton to help us with a toilet and a few showers. He seemed skilled and it seemed to be a reputable company. He ended up charging us for a part that he did not provide us and it required multiple phone calls to even get the invoice to see this. I immediately called to have this fixed once I saw the invoice, or at least to understand where the miscommunication was and why we were charged an extra $600. I had to call 10 times over multiple months before a customer relations person finally got back to me. Each time I called I spoke to lovely customer service triage people who all made me a ticket, escalated the ticket, or made a note in my file with each call, but no one actually got back to me until my 10th call. Finally, Danielle, a customer relations person got back to me and said she would rectify this or at least address it because the notes indicated that the work he did did not include this extra $600 part. It has been several weeks and still no one has gotten back to me. I am dissatisfied with the lack of honesty and transparency from the plumber or made an error in his bill but more disappointed in how much this company has strung me along. This company has a ton of 5 star reviews so I'm not quite sure how we had this terrible experience, but I certainly would never recommend anyone hire this company.

Use only if you have disposable income, and enjoy upselling. When I was younger, and less knowledgeable, I fell prey to the high pressure sales by a Burton manager, and foolishly thought I was getting a good deal on an emergency sewer-line replacement. The fact that they did it on Christmas Eve, I thought, justified the price. I consoled myself with what I thought was a generous warranty. Upon trying to use said warranty to avert a potential problem, I was told the warranty would not cover any work, UNLESS I was signed up for Burton's "membership services". I had been given a free year of the membership, never used, and cancelled as I did not want to be paying for something I would rarely use. Sure enough, 6+ years later, when trying to use the warranty, they wouldn't honor it, insisting I needed to pay $400 for the technician to run a scope down the new sewer line Burton installed. Simple google search showed that Burton is priced at the very top end of cost for this service in the Omaha area, and I went ahead and scheduled a different plumber to come do the same work for 1/4 the cost. Burton's technician was polite, professional, and kept apologizing, saying he hated the sales part of the job. Overall experience years ago was expensive, but now I know better, and will not use Burton's services again. There are other companies that are much more reasonable in prices.

“First call of the day” 8-12 window.. Gave a bid for $1,694 to change a P trap on a pedestal sink. After I said I was going to pass at this time they wanted to charge the $90 dispatch fee for the opportunity to give me a price gouging bid that took 10min / no labor. Justification was they live in Logan, and took an hour to drive. I called your shop and doing business with your shop which is based in Omaha. I am not responsible for where you choose to source your labor from or paying extra because you hire out of town workers.

I try my best to support small local businesses but this copper pipe from the water heater was flooding my floor. So after I called small local plumbing companies and just about every large company Burton was the only one that stayed true to the emergency 24/7 availability. Roto rooter, John Henry and aksarben plumbing for the fail after they and/or their ridiculous a.i system said they were sending out a technician within the hour I was getting calls back saying they had no one available until next week smfh. The individual that arranged services was nice and caring but did not seem fake like he was tryna sell something, they mentioned the cost for the call to be sure I understood it. Matt the plumber that came through was thorough, provided options to get things settled or replaced if I wanted. He was nice, knowledgeable, timely and professional. After a 18 hour work day glad im able to get a hot shower. Thank you Matt and the Burton team for keeping your word. I did not like the price but given the after hours and uncertainty about whats a fair price not much in can say.

We had some flooding in our basement in the Millard area due to a record rain. Our sump pump was not working. We called Burton in the middle of the night and we were offered emergency services or a next day appointment for options. Since the rain had stopped we opted for the day time appointment. We were the first visit this morning and we had a new sump pump by mid morning. Our technician, Austin was so helpful, made great recommendations and was professional and efficient. We feel so lucky to be customers of Burton!
