Capital has been in business and located in Hoover since 1995. Since that time we have grown from one van and 20 customers to twelve service vehicles and over 5,000 customers. We are a medium size company that is large enough to handle bigger projects but small enough to care. Ninety percent of our new business comes from referrals so customer satisfaction is extremely important to us. The majority of our employees have been with our company over 10 years and all have gone through background checks and drug screening. Our technicians are extremely qualified with experience ranging from 10 to 28 years. We primarily serve Jefferson and Shelby counties, offer same day service as well as emergency after hours service.

Excellent service. Kyle notified me prior to his arrival with an estimated arrival time. He arrived within a few minutes of his expected arrival. He greated me at the door and we walked tktbhe generator tk discuss the issue. He diagnosed the exact issue within a few minutes. He throughly explained the repair and expected cost. He also performed the annual generator maintenance while performing the repair. He completed the entire repair and maintenance in about an hour and cleaned up nicely after himself. He explained the completed work and verified the generators.ptoper performance while I was speaking with him. He did an outstanding job.

Install went great. Unit worked well. Then...a month in, a sensor went out. They responded quickly to diagnose the situation and bypassed the sensor so the unit could limp along. And even though they are a Trane dealer and this was a new unit the part had to be ordered. I was told the part was 100 miles away and would be here the next day. Nope. Still limping. To be clear, the problem seems to be in the parts dept. A year later I had them repair my generator since they're generac certified. Tech was prompt, knowledgeable and friendly Got me up and running in an hour for a reasonable price.

Unfortunately, we did not have a great experience with Capital. They came to service our house on Thursday, then over the weekend our AC unit stopped working. We called and they said we would need to pay a $150 “after hours fee.” My husband and I thought this was very frustrating as our unit had been working fine the day Capital came to service it but then stopped working after they had come. When we explained that we thought it was something Capital may have done at their service visit, we were told that our unit was old and could freeze at any time, and we would still need to pay the after hours fee for them to come out and inspect the issue. It was very frustrating and disappointing to receive this type of customer service. We will not be using Capital moving forward — especially given that we contacted another heating and cooling company that day and they came out within 30 minutes and did not charge for inspecting the issue.
