• NEVER CALL Cen-Cal Mechanical or GUY Trace BY NAME. There is no exceptional service or personnel attention. High reviews are left by his family and friend to disguise you. This guy is a total rude and will hold you hostage. He won't return calls after opening your system for 7 plus days. Please take your time and money somewhere else. He is not a person who will care for you. God save us from these fake impersonators.

Called Cen-Cal and was able to come out same day and said all it was was a bad Capacitor and needed some refrigerant. • Had Trace the business owner come out and check out my unit a couple weeks ago and diagnosed it and found it low on refrigerant. Unfortunately, the parts are obsolete(30+ year unit). He found the leaks in the evaporator coil. He gave me a great price compared to the two other companies that I called and replace the AC within a few days afterwards. He provided us with two temporary units he set up in our bedrooms and he set them up for us so that my two-year-old son and me and my wife can have temporary cooling while he was able to pick up the new unit and get the new one installed. As a last-minute decision, I decided to have him replaced my ductwork in my whole house for an additional amount it came out perfect. He has great communication skills. He notified me that the old ductwork was very dirty and deteriorating. He found several leaks which I found out. I was air-conditioning my whole attic. After he was done, we have better airflow than we did before in all rooms. We upsized the unit before it was undersized. He determined a 3 1/2 ton was undersized and we needed a 4 ton according to our square footage of our home and heat load from a 1949 home with low insulation values in the wall. I’ve never felt my house 70° before and listen to the unit turn off when it’s 105 outside it’s the greatest feeling in the world, I can’t wait to see my next PG&E bill. We have used Trace before and this is the second time that he’s done a great job. The last time he came home he was able to fix our unit at a very timely manner and it’s fairly priced all in all for what we paid for I felt like we got the full benefit.
