• We recently had an annual service check done on our furnace. Martin was the technician who conducted the check and he did an excellent job. He was very professional and thorough and submitted a detailed inspection report after completion. In addition, Martin was extremely pleasant and courteous, taking the time to engage in conversation. We were very pleased with the experience and appreciative of Martin's efforts on our behalf. Our contacts with Charlotte Heating & Air have been uniformly positive, from initial installation of the system to ongoing service and maintenance.

• We had a pleasant experience with the first technician who came out to diagnose our issue. Unfortunately, after that initial visit, our experience with the company’s professionalism and communication declined significantly. We were initially given a date for when the replacement parts would arrive, but that date was pushed back twice. They stated this was due to the TXV part not being sent to them. We understand that delays like this may have been outside of the company’s control, so we were understanding of the situation. Once the parts arrived, the installation itself went smoothly, and the technician was great. He mentioned that he was able to reuse one of our existing parts, the TXV, which we appreciated. However, we were charged for the original amount quoted (including the TXV). I called to ask about this, and they confirmed that we had indeed been charged for it. They did ultimately refund us for the incorrect charge. Our biggest frustration has been the lack of follow-through regarding an itemized invoice. We have a home warranty that has requested an itemized invoice so they can reimburse us for a portion of the cost. We have now contacted the company five separate times requesting this invoice. Each time, Mary has told us that she would ask someone to work on it, but we still have not received anything. We are now two months out from the replacement and still do not have the documentation we need. At this point, we are concerned that our home warranty may consider the reimbursement request past due and refuse to reimburse us, simply because this company has not provided the requested invoice. We are happy with the end result and grateful to have our AC working again, but we are extremely disappointed with the communication and lack of helpfulness from the company after they received our payment. We expected much better follow-through and customer service.

• Martin came by today to check out my HVAC upon moving into my new home since the home inspection had noted the system was shutting off and not working. He was honest in his work and did not try and do a bunch of things I didn’t need. Having a great pyrenees means I have to be extra diligent about the temperature inside my home, however the AC is running just fine, the home is cool, and I feel safe moving in now! Will absolutely use them in the future for any diagnostics or repairs.

• I would like to let everyone know about my fantastic experience with Charlotte Heating & Air. I had a recent issue with my 3 year old AC system and upon calling the company who had installed and serviced it, was told it would be about 3 days before they could have a technician come and diagnose the equipment. Not wanting to wait that long with non-working air on 90 degree days, I reached out to Charlotte H&A, having seen their trucks parked near my Sonata neighborhood. The individual who took my information was helpful and efficient and soon after I received a call from Caleb. Caleb indicated that they would be out first thing in the morning. Caleb himself showed up just after 8 the following morning and got my equipment functioning again. Additionally, he suggested having a few additional steps performed including a leak test and addition of some refrigerant. He and Dalton came back later in the day to perform these tasks and actually found a few issues with the system that the installer and service techs hadn't discovered in the past. My equipment is now performing at its peak. The costs for service were very fair from Charlotte H&A and I am in the process of setting up a service plan with them for my future needs. Bottom line, they are prompt, professional, knowledgeable, honest and fair. I speak high acclaim for both Caleb and Dalton and would certainly recommend their company and will use them myself for my future HVAC needs.

• I called Charlotte Heating & Air to schedule an emergency service visit after my AC stopped working during the middle of summer. I was told a technician would be able to come out the same day, so I relied on that instead of calling another company. As the day went on, I never heard from anyone. I called back to check on the appointment and was reassured that a technician was still coming. Then, later, I received a text saying they would not be able to come after all. Had I known from the beginning that they couldn’t make it, I would have immediately scheduled another HVAC company instead of waiting all day without air conditioning. I understand schedules can change, but the lack of communication and inaccurate updates were extremely frustrating, especially for an emergency call in the summer. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I can’t recommend them.

• Great company. We've used a few different HVAC companies in Charlotte and some of them have high pressure sales techniques or always have the latest thing they want to try and sell you. However, Charlotte Heating & Air are amazing. They do good, honest work. They came by today and did regular maintenance and I've had people clean my heat pump before but they went the extra mile and spent well over 2 hours dismantling and thoroughly cleaning the unit. I highly recommend this company if you want somet good, thorough, honest work to be done

• The best of the best. In this heat we were desperate to get air but we still did our research. We got estimates from three different companies and we were only treated as people by one. Brian was very detailed, did not try to sell me something I did not need, company is local to Mint Hill, and more reasonable then the other companies. Once we finalized they came out and brought us portable units until we could get installed the next day. They were cheaper than the big guys even with the furnace and purifier. They also have a free year maintenance plan. I do not want my other unit to go down but if it does at least we know who to call. Corey and Braedon installed the unit today and answered all my questions. What a team!

No runaround, no upsell pitch, no pressure to replace the whole unit — just a straight diagnosis and the right fix. Honestly, that’s all you can ask for from a technician.
