• If I could give Adam 10 stars I would. My first interaction was late June when he arrived at my mother's home on a Sunday evening to check out why her AC was no longer working. He was able to get it running again, checked everything, and recommended replacement. We were only in town for a week, time got away from me, and I found out a week before our scheduled return the AC had finally given up. Adam was able to get out to the house, replaced the entire AC and heating system, added new duct work, got everything up to code, and the house was cool again before we walked in the door. Adam was nothing but kind, helpful, and gracious throughout every interaction. I was already overwhelmed with my mom's unexpected health issues and Adam made what could have been an extremely stressful situation less so. 10/10 would definitely recommend.

• Emergency call on a Sunday morning and Adam came to our house in no time. • I've used Adam on several occasions, and he continues to provide excellent service and he is really pleasant to boot! With the current spring hot weather, we were experincing some issues with our AC unit shutting off repeatedly. I gave him a call late this morning and he was able to run up to the UCity by early afternoon to get us up and running. He also helped us reconnect our phones to our Nest thermostats. • I needed someone to satisfy a buyer (his financier, his appraiser, his agent, etc.) that my HVAC's "short cycle" problem was repaired. ADAM aka "Mr. Freon" (the entire company) said it didn't have a "short cycle problem" but spent no time in my attic with the furnace (he didn't want to get dirty, he was in a hurry to get to another job, and was not willing to sign anything or make a report saying that a "short cycle problem" didn't exist. However, he did say I needed A LOT of FREON (a job that would have cost me hundreds while he kept his hands clean and it wouldn't fix the REAL problem). I wisely declined - this literally infuriated him. I gave up when he did not answer my texts and H I R E D R E A L H V A C T E C H N I C I A N S that GOT IN MY ATTIC, GOT DIRTY, and FIXED the SHORT CYCLE PROBLEM!!! Then they wrote a FULL REPORT for the buyer's agent! You have been warned about Mr. Freon! - I did my part - now it is on you!

Adam has done both small and large jobs for my family and has executed well. He always educates us well as we consider whether to repair or replace parts so that we understand the trade offs. • Awful SCAM. Came out for the first time and didn’t diagnose the problem. Said there was a leak but he did not care. He charged my husband and I 1200$ for free on and 200$ to clean the unit. A week goes by and it breaks again. He comes back and still does not fix the issue he just filled the free on up. Then he comes for a third time today to fix a leak he could’ve fixed the first time I watched him and helped him and tried to charge me another 2000$ when he could’ve just fixed it the first time instead of being lazy and trying to charge me triple the price. For coming out here a total of 3 times and welding the pipes together ( putting a band aid on the situation) and when I told him I would pay him for the free on he storms out and leaves. Very unprofessional.

• Central heat and air replacement is expensive! Be knowledgeable. Just because someone can install a central heat and air conditioner does NOT mean they understand the science of hot and cold air, even though it’s simple. This company made a big mistake installing my two units that I had to catch. One of the installers noted to me that a bigger HVAC unit should be downstairs because of the stove: wrong. So they, with reluctance, had to come out and switch the units, which took another day of their time. The front guy commented that the code requires the thermostat be 5 feet from the air intake: wrong. I requested the thermostat be moved to a different room that we use most. That’s common sense.

• This guy Adam (City Heating and Air) came out to repair my unit and I felt like he didn't know what he was doing...just came out throwing parts at it like he was working on a car trying to figure out what's going on with it without testing them. The parts he put on wasn't the problem. He came two days in a row and he still did not fix it! On the 2nd attempt he told me he was going to speak with the manufacturer and I've never seen or heard from him since. That's bad business!!! I gave them a 1 star because I can't go lower. I do not recommend this company to no one.
