• Clément Marchand decided to go out of business sometime towards the beginning of 2024 and never made that clear to all their customers who had maintenance plans with them. You would think that they would include, at the very least, a little blurb about this on their site. Nope, nothing. Maybe, contact folks with a letter or call or email. Again, nothing. Nothing is posted anywhere on the Internet either, about Clément Marchand wrapping up operations. A tad shady. That’s not the way to conduct business. Reaching them was near impossible and calls were never returned. Essentially, feels like they were hiding. Although they are officially no longer in business, their full website is still online and gives the impression that the company is still in business. Very, very confusing. A few months ago, we had an emergency with our furnace. We’ve been a long-standing client of Clément Marchand and have purchased a maintenance plan for over 15 years. Well, on July 12, we called the company and we were given confusing information about what our options were. This servicing would normally have been covered by her maintenance contract with Clément Marchand but on this day, we spent almost $500 for work done by another company. Every year, we diligently make sure to purchase a maintenance plan and when help was needed, we didn’t get it. The contract was not honoured. Money wasted. This has been highly frustrating and disappointing and is certainly not the way that business should be conducted. This is not up to the standards that we have known from your company for many years.

• Clément Marchand responded right away when there was an issue with our water heater, and within 30 minutes their friendly and professional service person Jeff came to help out. While the prognosis for the water heater was grim, he helpfully hooked the hose up and showed me how to drain it. I really appreciated his clear communication, friendliness and professionalism and would deal with them again.

• Waiting to park was not worth a wheelchair life. Almost got backed into after he cut me off to pull into driveway to turn around to get parking spot. Dressed all reflective. He saw me he was 5 minutes late for his job. My DNR and POA I carry almost got used for 5 minutes late! No oppologies even called office oh well they know who it was who almost killed a pedestrian for 5 minutes!

• Do yourself a big favour and call someone else. They installed a brand new rooftop heating and cooling unit and I had nothing but problems from day one. The unit continues to run even though the set temperature has been reached. I called several times and they refuse to do anything for me. They installed a cheap inferior disconnect that was made in China and the 600 volt wires caused the electrical current to arc within the disconnect box because the wires were not shielded. This information was provided to me by my electrician who was called to replace the cheap disconnect for a unit that is suitable and used as standard practice on rooftop units with proper shielding. I called several times to speak with the owner however he refused to take my call.. Please take my advise and do yourself a huge favour by passing this company up for another professional and serious company that stands behind the products they sell and the work they do. Just look at the current google reviews……as well as their google ratings!!! I have the only unit that continues to heat in the winter even though the set temperature is reached. I might add that they also replaced the thermostat as well. The unit also continues to cool even though the set temperature is reached as well. I remember the install vividly and the installers wasted over an hour if not longer on the schematics because they could not figure out how to wire the new unit! If you are considering Clement Marchand …..RUN !!!

• Our furnace conked out in early February a couple of days before a severe deep freeze was about to hit. Mark inspected the furnace, advised us that we needed a new part that they had to order. As soon as the part arrived, he came over and had our furnace up and running within the hour, just before the cold arrived. Thank you Mark and Clement-Marchand for the excellent service.

• This company has not only wasted my time, but caused my fireplace to be more broken than what it was in the first place. All tech’s stated they couldn’t smell gas when the pilot light was on, but my husband, super and I could smell natural gas. Technician swore. Have had at least 4 technicians for the SAME issue, and no one can fix it! Thermopile and gas line needed to be changed. We have been without a fireplace for almost 2.5 years. These tech’s are incompetent as my husband has been watching their work, and stated that they made it worse. I am thoroughly not impressed. Oh and yeah when a tech was leaving he said the fire place was only esthetic. That was a warning sign right there. Also asked for another tech, and the company sent the same one. Do not let them touch your stuff, as it will be worse off than it was before.

• I want to thank the office staff and the technician for responding so quickly to my call with regards to my A/C not working although I had a maintenance service done in early May, the capacitor failed. • Used them in the past for service and hot water tank installation and service was fine. Called them this week for a leaking pressure valve on our 2 year old hot water tank. Was told they had the part, turns out they didn't upon coming out and checking the valve - was charged for a $180 call out, nothing fixed, nothing done except tech turned off the water to the tank. Waited until 10am the next day for a follow up call, nothing heard so I called them. Asked about a refund for the call out the night before and was told someone would be in touch - nothing. Service was performed later in the day. Poor communication this time around and charged for nothing. Follow up a few days later, I was offered a rebate for the call out. Appreciate the follow up.

• My water heater had given up and I needed to get a replacement. After contacting Clement Marchand on the weekend I received a call from Mike on Monday morning. He gave me a quote after I explained what equipment we needed replacing. By 11:30 in the morning we had a confirmed work order, and he was able to get a team to come and do the install that afternoon.
