finally understand the acronym J.O.B- Junk Offered Bills sent We hired J.O.B. Plumbing and Heating to install an expansion tank shortly after moving into our home. Less than a year later, the product they supplied failed. When we called to have it repaired, we were told this wasn’t the first time they had received complaints about this part—the manufacturer had apparently sent out a batch of faulty units. Despite this admission, we were charged $160 for the repair on a factory defective unit we replaced a year previous. This included a discounted labour rate, but included a $30 fuel charge. We were told the bill should have been more but they “are in the people pleasing business”. It’s hard to understand why a company that regularly orders parts wouldn’t be reimbursed by their supplier for defective items—and then pass that reimbursement on to the customer. They should be taking the customers side providing the replacement free of charge, and bill their supplier or manufacturer for the additional labour and “fuel surcharge”. To top it off, we were considering having J.O.B. replace our furnace and water heater, but after this experience, we won’t be using their services again. They’ve lost our trust—and our future business. Good work guys! This would have been an easy sale.

I had a combi-boiler issue pop up in February. The people who installed it had their boiler man quit so no one there could troubleshoot it. Having a boiler quitting intermittently in winter, in Saskatoon, was not something I wanted to put up with. I phoned around and someone said to try JOB Heating and Air Conditioning. I phoned and explained my problem. Jeff and Tyler arrived and solved two immediate things, namely a valve sticking and an electronic board that needed to be replaced. They also tweaked the boiler settings. But there was still one bug somewhere in the system. Jeff racked his mind and reasoned that there was an issue elsewhere in the household water supply. He narrowed it down and his solution resolved the final issue. The boiler has never worked as well as it does now. I am very grateful for Jeff's skill and expertise in doggedly pursuing the problem until it was fixed. Thank you JOB Heating and Air Conditioning!

Can help in a pinch but when it comes down to it things may not be fixed all the way. Just happy my home didn't burn down. They put a third board into my boiler. At the time I asked for repair or replace and they said repair. Board came out burnt. They replaced anyway and charged 1200 and took photos of it. I called them asking why it was burnt and if I should worry without any returned calls. 2 months later smelled burning plastic from the boiler and called them and Jeff said I should replace it. I asked for a quote on repair and replace. I then had to call for weeks to get a call returned even though the board kept burning I kept telling them that. A few weeks later finally after many calls and a text I was able to get ahold of Jeff who FINALLY only sent me a quote on replacement. Below are 2 pictures. 1st with slight melting is the board they replaced and 2nd where its black is the board that came off the boiler at replacement of boiler. Best bet go with someone else as your safety or time is not their priority I'm sure in all the time they weren't answering me they were taking new clients even though that had an existing one with a dangerous issue they were well aware of.

Furnace quit, i called tech was here within 20 minutes had issue diagnosed within minutes, unfortunatly he did not have the correct part but offered heaters if we wanted for the night, next morning here by 830ish furnace back running by 9am. Tech Chris was knowledgeable, polite, and efficient. I recommend these guys.

I wasn’t told I would need to answer a confirmation phone call at the time of the appointment. If I had known I would have made more effort to have both phones near me. Apparently they phone only one of the numbers you gave one time and if you don’t answer they just don’t show up. No one even tries to call back to tell you they won’t be coming. They just screw you over and leave you hanging. Feeling annoyed because of course I was here, I made the darn appointment! Also I had my cell phone in my hand the whole time but they couldn’t be bothered to call that number too.

My AC was working but just not running efficiently, I thought maybe I just needed the lines charged. The technician spent 1.5 hours onsite just to tell me that the levels are good but my AC is too closed in for maximum efficiency. the tech worked extremally slow and milked the job, when he should have measured the levels and determined the enclosed area was the problem in under an hour. I was billed $264 for just labor since no repairs were done. I have used J.O.B. in the past and had a different technician who was much better who actually fixed my AC and charged me less money. But after this I will not use them again and will not recommend them to anybody else going forward.

Don't waste your money!They will show up late, pad their hourly labor bill with constant trips to the van for a 20 minute phone call, and leave you with a still, nonfunctional AC system. Then they will make you wait a week before they send another tech, and still bill you for the same diagnostic hours, and fees, (of course, with more new added charges to fill an empty tank of refrigerant) That's right, no refrigerant!! At least, that was our experience. In the end, the two bills came to over $700. My wife and I are seniors, on fixed incomes, and this was huge strain on our budget, and we would never have agreed tò this amount going in. Also we were told by the office that they would mail the bill and that payment plans were available, but the tech insisted upon payment (in full), upon completion. Don't be fooled by their competitive "first hour" rate. They're not so competitive when you factor in the $40 "truck charge" they spring on you. My advice? GO ANYWHERE ELSE! Gary Caissie

On one of the hottest days my AC unit stopped working. I called several places gave everyone the same story the Capacitor is no longer working and all companies wanted to sell me a new AC unit. When I called JOB they asked if I had anyone come look at it because it could probably be repaired and a new unit was not required. JOB had a tech at my house the next day, replaced the Capacitor and it is working great! I appreciate the honesty and integrity of JOB for not just trying to sell me a new unit but recognizing that this one could be repaired literally saving me thousands of dollars. From a single parent with a modest income, this makes a world of difference. You will be my first call for other heating and cooling issues that may arise. Thank you!
