Please use anybody else besides "Joe East" they are not reliable. If I could give them a 0 I would. A strange on the street would do a better job, and possibly would be more dependable

Austin, Dwayne, Colton, Holly. All rock stars. Exceptional service, friendliness, professional, and just good people. Replaced my entire AC system, showed me WHY I needed to replace it, and got it done ASAP. Explained new system functions in detail, Cleaned up after themselves.

⭐ Extremely disappointed with my experience with One Hour Heating & Air Conditioning. I scheduled an appointment and spent hours waiting for a technician who never showed up during the expected time or even hours after. I called the office twice trying to get an update because I was sitting in a hot house with a little one, and I still never received any proactive communication explaining what was going on. Only after all of that did the technician finally message me and say his van had broken down and that he had been behind all day. I completely understand that vehicle problems happen, but communication is part of customer service. A simple call or text earlier in the day would have saved me hours of waiting and worrying about keeping my child comfortable in a hot house. I eventually had to call another HVAC company, and they were able to get someone to my house quickly (like 30mins) and got my AC fixed. When your AC is out in the middle of the summer, especially with a small child in the home, reliability and communication matter. Unfortunately, I didn’t receive either with this appointment.

I need a estimated from Joe east ,,,they gave the estimate so I turn it in/end to the people that was suppose to pay.those people that come out talk a good game.they told me what it would cost ,,,with out parts,,,and when I call them back they gave me the (run) around...I have brought 2-unit from them....the last unit the tech left the air-condition unhook and went off,,,and u know what happen,,,,something got up into my air-condition and died,,,I call the city to come out alter the smell started to come in from the vent,,,and I still lost,,,,we have to live with the smell....I think some (chip)ran inside and died.the city of huntsville went under the house and they wouldn't do anything.they didn't go under the house,,,,I show them some picture I took.they want to charge $ 300.00 dollar to repair one (duck-jacket installation and I had the parts,,,,Now that would have been (400.00) but the paper work said $300.00 with there parts.it wasn't have been (10) feet of installation jacket,,,,straight line....probably would have talked (thirty) minutes...guy the (tech) can out telling me a lower price and he would be back,,,,I call his number for day and night,,,,no answer....all day for days and then he want to high ball.

Mr Eric Smith came out to my house today because my system wasn’t COOLING at all. Once Eric arrived he was super professional and very great at his job. He provided explanations on what was going on and got me cooling in no time. The best part was that he fixed it same day so by the time the wife got home she was happy. You know what they say happy wife happy life. And AGAIN thanks Eric will be using them again and recommend them to all my neighbors

Update (4/18/26): Another year, another refrigerant leak and over a thousand more dollars for labor and refrigerant replacement. This time, I finally called another HVAC repair company, as it seemed clear that Joe East was unable to detect and repair the leaks on the Carrier Infinity system they installed for me about 6 and a half years ago. The new company used a different leak detection tool (a "sniffer") that found a leak in the transducer in the outdoor condenser unit. Joe East techs had been using UV dye to detect leaks, and they clearly missed the evaporator coil and condenser unit leaks because they couldn't see the dye with their detector. This year's refrigerant replacement and repair cost was an additional $1,800. Unfortunately, I have had to reduce my Google rating for Joe East to one star. I have paid over 50% of the HVAC purchase price in repairs, in just the first six and a half years of ownership. I find this absolutely unacceptable, especially when I paid so much money for a supposedly high-end system. I compiled all of my invoices and submitted a complaint to Carrier. They said that I should probably report Joe East to the Better Business Bureau. They reimbursed me $500 on their end. So far, Joe East management has reimbursed me $100. Joe East management: my most recent invoice number from your company was 370762 from 12/1/25. I would be happy to update this review if you are willing to take additional responsibility for the defective system you installed and your inability to find and repair the issues in a cost-effective manner. (This includes a $1,500 line set replacement that appears to have been totally unnecessary.) I assume that you don't feel right about charging your customer nearly $4,800 in repair costs, less than seven years into ownership of a nearly $13,000 system that you installed. You have some nice people working for you, but I expect a business to stand behind their products and services more than you have to date. Thank you. Update (12/7/25): 6 years into my ownership of a "top-of-the-line" Carrier Infinity HVAC from Joe East, I have paid about $4,000 in repair costs. After all of the money I had previously spent on A/C labor and refrigerant replacement (due to an evaporator coil leak), I just had to pay $900 to have the furnace repaired. Over the course of 3 visits, the control board and gas valve were replaced. The labor charge for replacing these parts (which took the tech about 30 minutes on the final visit) was roughly $350 each. That equates to a labor rate of about $1,400 per hour. The tech, Guy, was very polite and professional, and he ultimately resolved the Ignition Fault errors. I appreciate his help. But the labor charge was highly excessive, in my opinion. I understand that HVAC repair can be uncomfortable and sometimes dangerous work. There may be some hazard pay added into the rates. But at some point, I think you have to call out overcharging for what it is. I used to repair computers, and I know that replacing a system board and reconnecting the cables is not something that merits $350. I asked a Joe East manager for a break with the furnace repair charge, after all of the money I had spent on the A/C. To his credit, he gave me a $100 discount. I appreciated the gesture but, unfortunately, $100 doesn't go very far to offset me having paid 30% of the HVAC purchase price on repairs, in just the first 6 years. I find myself wondering what will fail next, and how much I'll have to pay to get it fixed. I genuinely like the Joe East techs, especially Chris and Guy. I know their job isn't easy. But I obviously find the amount of money that I've paid to have a working HVAC system to be unacceptable. I blame Carrier for poor quality control, but I think Joe East should have shouldered more of the financial burden of the repairs. Your company came out to give me an evaluation on the plumbing and the young man gave me an evaluation on the problems with my plumbing. He was very knowledgeable and helpful on the plumbing issues that he saw and the builder has corrected corrected most of the issues

They installed a new HVAC system. The three techs were very professional, respectful, and friendly. They took the time to explain the new system so I would know how the operate it. They cleaned up after themselves. I was very happy with the service and am very happy with the new system. I highly recommend these young men and my new system.

Been a Joe East customer for several years with mostly positive results/comments. Well, my last experience was not a positive experience. This was my second experience with what I call "gross price gouging on parts". My recommendation is if replacement parts are needed, ask for the name/model number they offer and compare prices, to include labor before you commit to the service. I (we) have discontinued our affiliation with Joe East.
