  • I was very pleased with the work done by Dan and Derek. They were knowledgeable, professional, courteous, and respectful of the fact that I knew very little about furnace and central air conditioning. They answered whatever questions I had for them. I would recommend them for any HVAC needs you have. Good quality work for the money. It looks like they have deals, coupons and special offers on their website. I should have checked it out before getting all this work done but whatever. I'm happy to have a new Furnace and AC for the house we just moved into last year. Thanks for everything! Update: September 28, 2026, Provincial Heating and cooling came at the appointed time, performed the one year maintenance on the furnace (granted, we were supposed to have it done a year after the furnace installation but I think we both forgot about it), and addressed the musty odour coming from the central air. The work was done in a timely, professional, and friendly manner. Still right up there on my recommendation list.

  • The response from Mr Paches at provincial Heating was prompt and courteous when I called regarding replacing our old furnace. Justin, a pleasant guy came in, took measurements and explained the installation to us. This was followed by a visit by two very efficient and friendly people, Dan and Derek, who installed our new furnace flawlessly. Thank you Dan and Derek for being so excellent in your job. Sept 23, 2026 Justin is very polite, professional and pleasant person. He and cheerful Jeston diagnosed and fixed our no heat furnace issue very efficiently and quickly. He billed me very reasonably and appropriately for the service. Thank you Justin and Jeston.

  • We recently got a new air conditioner as well as an air source heat pump installed in our home. We had gotten some quotes from some other companies, but decided to go with these guys as Justin was a pleasure to deal with and was amazing at breaking down the cost, the timelines and what we should expect as this was a big job. They were able to prioritize and cater to our timeline and expectations as they started the job within a week of our initial meeting. The communication throughout the job was excellent. Dan, Derek and Jeston were the installers. The care, attention to detail, and craftsmanship were top notch. Very clean work. These guys are very good at what they do. The company only consists of about six guys (including the owner). I had met and dealt with five of them (everyone except the owner) but these guys spoke VERY highly of him and were very proud to work for him. These guys demonstrated that they conduct their business with good morals, good ethics, and good values which is almost nonexistent these days. I highly recommend hiring this company for any of your HVAC needs. These guys just gained a lifetime customer. Sure you could go with a big, more known company, but I don’t think you’re going to get the level of service and attention to detail that we got from these guys. Amazing work. Amazing guys. Amazing company. Go with them. You’ll have no regrets!

  • Today we had our third equipment installation within the last year completed by Dan and Derrick. As always, they did a great job and went above expectations explaining their installion process and functionality of the equipment. These two make a great team and each time they have done work for us it has been a really good experience.

  • I had Provincial do my annual AC check up again. I indicated to Dan that the AC was making more noise than normal because this model is a Carrier Infinity top of the line and is normally extremely quiet. Dan cleaned the AC coils from the inside out and the amount of dirt that came out was incredible despite me doing periodic cleaning of the coils from the outside. He then checked all the AC electronics/wiring and found that the capacitor was running hot and was at the end of its life so he recommended it be replaced now so as to avoid the cost of a future call out if it quit at a later date. I agreed and he changed it out. The unit is working perfectly and quiet once again. When he was checking the furnace was working ok with the AC, he found the ignitor had soot built up and cleaned that at the same time. He did a great job! I do not provide praise easily, it has to be earned. Dan and the other Provincial technicians that have been out to service my furnace and AC have been excellent, are detailed oriented to ensure everything is working at top efficiency and provide me with any maintenance suggestions I can do myself to ensure the longevity of my heating and cooling equipment. They are also very clean and remove their work boots when entering our residence and very polite. I really appreciate the high level of quality service and advice I receive from this company and its technicians which is hard to find these days. As well, they do not try to sell you things/services you don’t need & if a part is required they use the best quality to ensure longevity & good service so there are no problems. A great company!

  • Called up and described my issue that i had with my AC unit. The quoted me a min cost upfront (which I thought was appreciated) so I knew in advance the minimum charge for a visit. Dan arrived within the time as stated, sent a text and called what time he was going to arrive. He did a diagnosis of the AC unit and told me what the problem was. Fixed it in under an hour and openly told me the cost. No hidden fees. He was very professional and easy to work with. Would recommend this business to anyone who wants honest and reliable service.

  • So I had this company do all the duct work, ac and furnace for me as a friend I knew worked there previously.. after having this equipment in for many years I feel I can write an appropriate review.. First the furnace exhaust/intake vent is way too tight to the upper floor, every winter when it’s cold and it runs it expands and makes annoying ticking noises against it… very obnoxious especially at night time when it kicks on. When the furnace and ducts were replaced none of the ducts got sealed with any mastic so I’m sure lots of air leakage throughout due to the gaps. The furnace I got was suppose to be 2 stage, However with many issues of it feeling super weak to blow at the vents, and every winter it was getting issues with limit switch and it shutting off.. I thought maybe once I got the basement insulated it would help but it didn’t .. even had a few of their techs come out, one of the guys changed the gas pressure and fiddled with the dip switches but nothing really changed other than being told “a new furnace would probably be best”… in the winter time it feels cold in my upstairs and inconsistent, with my old furnace and duct work it was comfortable upstairs. The ducts are loud, you just hear the whistling out of them from the furnace fan even though it can’t even blow a piece of tissue paper holding above the vent. There was no static pressure tests done. Paid for a 2 stage furnace / t-stat for it to only be barely operable as single stage. My wife has terrible allergies and asthma and while it would be nice to be able to use a little bit of a better filter I can’t afford even worse air flow than what’s already there. I use a merv 6 and change it every 3 weeks. The disappointing part is I’ve contacted and had their techs come out while even being charged diagnostic fees several times for these issues and it just seems like a waste of time and money. I personally don’t think I would want to buy a carrier again, especially for the price I paid for everything.

  • Really impressed with the service provided. Showed up on time and quickly diagnosed and fixed the problem!

  • My furnace stopped pushing out heat in the middle of the night. Justin from Provincial Heating is the only one who answered the phone and offered to come first thing. He was great and we decided a new furnace was necessary. Dan and Derek were the men who came to do the install. They were both so great! Polite, informative and took care of any clean up. They were efficient and very thorough! Thank you all:)

  • Dan and his longtime school buddy showed up right on time at 8:45 am and had my new carrier furnace installed in 3hours. Very professional were very happy after a frigid night with no heat.

  • Justin identified the issue leading to the team of Derrick, Julius, and Dan to be efficient in tackling the situation within the day following. Much appreciated on be able to finish the job within a short time frame.

  • Justin provided very fast and affordable service! He came even after he had just been bit by a dog.

  • We were unhappy with our previous two heating/cooling companies, so, one day, two years ago, I Googled a heating/cooling company located in Northwest Winnipeg and up popped Provincial Heating and Cooling. I called and now we are proud owners of a Carrier furnace and a Carrier central air conditioner. The company helped us apply for a Hydro loan, accommodated all our requirements, efficiently installed both units in a timely manner. We make sure to have them every year for Maintenance on both units. Today, Derek looked after the maintenance visit. Nice fellow. Kudos to Provincial Heating and Cooling. Highly Recommend! I still highly recommend this company. The previous review was 9 1/2 years ago. Recently the furnace decided to spring a leak and a crack and the thermostat had palpitations in that it cycled on and off and on and on and off and on all day long. I called Justin at Provincial Heating and he bent over backwards to help. He had to order a motor. It arrived this morning and he immediately drove here to install it plus a new trap and a new thermostat. Thankfully, our Carrier furnace and central AC unit were sold with Carrier's 10 Year Parts and Labor Warranty with regular service and maintenance, which I was diligent to follow over the years. Thanks to Donald Trump's tariffs, new units have certainly gone up in price. I will start saving. Once again, Thank You Justin and Provincial Heating and Cooling!

  • We’ve used Provincial a couple of times now. Once for a new furnace installation and today for an annual tune up. Both times they were on time, the communication was clear and the price was what they said it would be. No hidden surprises or anything of that nature. No hard upsells, either. Would definitely recommend them for heating services in Winnipeg.
