  • Nate came to check out our furnace today in Ogden and was fantastic! Quick but thorough and explained parts that may need to be replaced. Thank you!

  • Matt came out to fix an issue with our hot water heater. Response time was excellent, Matt was on time, extremely professional, neat and knowledgeable. I highly recommend!!!

  • Zach was very friendly, thorough, and experienced with our AC repairs. Right away he was able to discover the problem and get that fixed. He gave a thorough look at the AC unit to make sure we could avoid future issues. We live in an area with tons of cotton tress, and the previous owner never had the unit cleaned. So Zach suggested a good cleaning to keep the unit functioning at normal temperature. Our unit has a lot of parts that need removed in order to clean the coiling, but Zach had the experience before and did a nice thorough cleaning. Great service, very friendly and pretty affordable.

  • He was fast, efficient and kind. I 100% recommend

  • Set an appointment for about 4 hours out on the same day. They kept in contact with me the whole time letting me know if times moved. Chris worked for maybe 30 minutes to diagnose and fix a problem that a previous company just left behind. Can't recommend enough.

  • I had a plumbing leak in upstairs bathroom that caused considerable damage upstairs and downstairs. The mitigation team couldn't find the cause but Matthew with UMS finally found it and fixed it! He was a very nice, knowledgeable and skilled professional, as was everyone I spoke with at UMS. So grateful to Matthew and to UMS for everything!

  • Great new all-a-round service company that uses word of mouth advertising. Very professional service! Quick, great looking installs, communicated every step of the process. I recommend Utah mechanical systems to anyone in need of service, in the northern Utah region.

  • I’ve had the chance to work with both Kris and Zach. After trying multiple Ac repair companies it was refreshing to finally have a contractor show up on time and have the knowledge to fix the problem in one appointment.

  • Zach was awesome! Fixed the issue and replaced part same day since he had the part in his van!

  • I had the opportunity to work with Chris, and I was very impressed with his service. He was professional, friendly, and arrived right on time here in Layton. I asked him to help troubleshoot my evaporative cooler, which had a tricky leak that only occurred when both the cooler and pump were running at the same time. Chris took the time to look into the issue and help get things figured out. I really appreciated his professionalism, knowledge, and reliability. I would definitely recommend Chris to anyone looking for dependable service!

  • I live in Magna, and am retired. I signed up with their warranty program a couple years ago, and haven’t had to pay for anything but a couple of parts. I had top grade service from Chris today on my AC. He even invited me to watch what he was doing, and made sure I understood what was going on. He spent over an hour troubleshooting the entire system, found the issue, repaired it, and rechecked everything to insure everything was now working correctly, and made recommendations throughout the house to improve air flow. Then documented all he did with photos, and cleaned up everything. AND… it didn’t cost a thing. $0.00!!! I really recommend them. Especially if you’re into high quality work, and saving money (the company I used before charged $250 to change an air filter.). D.J. fitzGerald

  • I reached out to UMS because my friends at The Rainbow Saloon were urgently needing a new pump and pads on one of their roof mount swamp coolers. Even though it’s a steep roof, the owner usually does the repairs, and pads but has had some physical issues this year. I was paying for repairs as a donation to the Rainbow because they do several fundraisers every year and they are one of the biggest financial contributors to Shriners Children's Hospital in Utah, if not the top contributor, so I wanted to help them out as they are selfless and give back to the community more than any other business I know! I had seen UMS on FB groups and was very happy that they scheduled the work for 5:30pm Monday Aug 3rd. Their on boarding video is almost 13 minutes long, on rules, policies etc., it did mention they could be there an hour early or an hour late depending on their current job at 36 seconds to 40 second into the video. I was at the Sara Evans concert after a hard day’s work and was excited that The Rainbow was going to have cool air for the first time in 3 days and they were beyond grateful that I had made arrangements to get it fixed and was paying for it as a donation which I had already mentioned to Emily at UMS. The first red flag was a text 40 minutes after they were supposed to arrive at 5:30. I got a text at 6:19pm telling me the tech was running late. No info on when he may show up so I asked for an estimate of arrival time. They texted "hopefully within an hour." I did comment that with my own business I give Customers a heads up before my scheduled arrival time when I know I'm going to be late, and I give my customers a time slot of when I'll be there. According to Leah at the Rainbow, the tech arrived at 8:40, 3 hrs. & 10 minutes after scheduled arrival time. Was there for 15 minutes and left because the roof was too steep & he was going to have to bring another tech to help him and he had to get approval to modify the roof and install a D ring for safety. I texted Emily that " I told you the roof was steep" and "You’ve really dropped the ball on this one Emily!” on top of that he was 3 hrs past the scheduled appt, and to hours past their service window on the onboarding video! She told me the tech had tried to call me and explain this, even though they had been communicating through text up to this point and I have NO call or message on my phone that I had received a call. She told the tech to wrap up & head out. By this time, I was so frustrated, missed half the concert and said, " Yeah, let me know how much I owe you and I will put the post back on FB. It was an expensive learning lesson!” She said... We would love to help you tomorrow, but 2 things must happen. 1- Stop yelling at me over text. "It's 10 pm at night and I’m trying to help you and schedule you. I won’t be treated with disrespect like that. 2- Provide written authorization to modify roof to allow access. We can come at 11, but I need you to be respectful.” First of all, I didn't yell! Usually done with all caps! Lol. I said, “No thank you! Everything from being so late to not being prepared for a steep roof, I'll get someone else that can do it without modifying the roof like it's been done many times before! I'm done!" I happily paid the $199.00 service fee. I immediately found a 5☆ company that came out the next morning and got it done safely and quickly without modifying the roof and they charged me such a reasonable amount that it made up for the 199.00 service fee I had to pay to UMS! There was later a big apology on their part. Too little, too late! The only one that was rude, disrespectful and unprofessional, was Emily! I don't want anyone to go through what The Rainbow and I had to go through that evening! I certainly don't recommend this company!

  • Overpriced | $1–200 I was referred to Utah Mechanical by my home warranty company, and my experience was extremely disappointing. My home's main sewer line is clogged to the point that the plumbing is unusable. Every time a toilet is flushed or a shower is used, sewage backs up into the downstairs shower. As a result, my family cannot use the bathrooms in our own home and has had to leave the house just to use restroom facilities. I was told by Emily that if I canceled my home warranty claim and paid Utah Mechanical $399 directly, they could come out the same day. However, if I chose to use the home warranty as intended, they would not schedule me until August 5—nine days later. It is hard not to conclude that customers paying out of pocket are prioritized over customers using a home warranty, even during emergency situations. A homeowner without functioning plumbing should not have to choose between paying extra out of pocket or waiting more than a week without basic sanitation. If this is how warranty customers are treated, I do not believe Utah Mechanical should continue participating in home warranty networks. Homeowners expect the same urgency and level of service regardless of how the repair is being paid for. If I had the ability to give them 0 stars I would but I gave them a 1 star because that is the lowest possible choice.

  • Tried to work with them on a home warranty claim. They emailed me stating they would contact me. Then emailed saying everything was set up. The day before my appointment, I call them. They said “well, you never contacted us so the earliest we can do is next week.” Then proceed to ghost. Stay away.

  • My heater had a leak in the expansion tank. They called me back and had a technician cone the same day. Zach came ready with the part and he fixed my heater. If you have a plumbing problem (my current experience) call them. They are absolutely professional!

  • Chris did doing a great job and helping to make ac working and running. He’s good to communicate with and explaining clearly. Definitely will contact with this business again in the future

  • I had sent a claim to our warranty company for our AC the warranty company messed up our appointment so UMC hadn't received our order but Emily was so sweet and was able to squeeze us in last minute. Matt was our technician he was very professional super nice and very knowledgeable. Our AC is 23 years old and definitely needs to be replaced but he was able to help us with a temporary fix until we could afford purchasing a new unite. The quote we were provided was very reasonably priced and was the lowest quote we've gotten. I highly recommend this company

    Tristy U.

  • The communication between me and Emily as well as the mechanics was outstanding. The issue was resolved in a very timely manner. Kyler was very respectful of home and pets and children. Knowledgeable and got the issue resolved. Took them up on another service "motor blower deep clean" the tech Nate also was so kind respectful and thorough. Leaves no mess. Prices were the fairest in the land 😄

  • Chris did a great job

  • Called a different hvac company who will remain unnamed. They said we were headed for an entire new system, 15 grand we were not in a position to cover. We called Utah Mechanical and Zach was out the next morning, found the problem very quickly and got us back up and running. There were no sales tactics or pushy pitches, he told us what was wrong, when we're probably going to actually need a new system, and gave us some service tips. A+ job here. I won't be calling anyone else.

    Eric W.

  • Chris came quickly, was professional, and answered all of our questions. Most importantly, he fixed the problem!

    Courtney C.

  • Thank you to Zach for replacing our old water heater and hauling it off and replacing it with the new 50 gallon tank and replacing all of the old and non working parts giving me extra perks as well! He went above and beyond great! I’m so happy with his work and I saved $600. So it was very affordable, which is great in these hard times! I will be hiring him again to fix or replace other long over due items in my house! I’m getting things done now while the prices are reasonable, you should too! Great guy!

    Kathleen S.

  • Called in and was able to talk with a live person. Excellent. Technician Nate came and was professional and gave a thorough explanation. Got my AC unit up and running. Thank you.
