On Friday night my AC went out. So I got up early Sat morning went to Home depot and got a new capacitor. After installing it nothing was coming on, so I checked a few more things and then thinking I was in over my head I called Dan. He was not able to come till Monday and since temps were going to be 100+ till then he gave me some things to check. After doing the checks he suggested I got it running again. I would definitely recommend him for any services needed. Thanks Dan your the man!

I don't write a lot of reviews, but Dan deserves special recognition. Dan came highly recommended from a neighbor, and he earns it. We first worked with him for our AC about three years ago, needing to chase a leak and consequently replace parts. We recently reached out to him when our AC malfunctioned, and he was able to diagnose the problem quickly despite his busy and booked up schedule. He is prompt, knowledgeable, and beyond fair. He communicates and answers questions and treats his customer extremely well. When it's time to upgrade and modernize my AC, I know exactly the one person I will call. Update: it's years later, the old builder AC unit finally died, and I worked with Dan again when it was time to get and install a new unit. Because of changes in the law on coolants from the feds, manufacturers had to change their new products, and the AC unit replacement had the potential to be way too expensive, possibly necessitating a whole new furnace just to replace the AC unit. Dan spent time with me and provided professional guidance as we brainstormed and researched solutions and landed on one that would allow me to just replace the AC unit at a much more reasonable cost. His willingness to be a problem solver saved my bacon, he was able to install the new unit promptly, and it's going great so far. Reach out to him, you won't regret it.

I can’t say enough good things about Value Heating & AC! After buying our home we had constant HVAC problems, and while many companies pushed for a full replacement, Dan went out of his way to keep our older unit running. He’s clearly extremely knowledgeable, honest, and stands behind his work. His conscientious approach saved us money and a lot of stress. The best furnace repair company in Idaho! They were able to come the day our furnace stopped working. Checked for all the possible smaller problems but determined it needed a new circuit board. Returned later that day with the part to replace and had it working perfectly. Our furnace is over 20 years old and I have no doubt that most other companies would try and sell us a whole new system. They explain the problem and solution very well. They also have offered suggestions on how to keep our furnace working and how to clean the sensor as a possible fix if it stops working. Most helpful and polite!

I just have to say 2 words, Integrity and Honesty. They fixed my air conditioner 3 years ago when it used to break down every year for 10 years when someone else fixed it. They did it right and a great price too and its working without a hitch. Then today during the holiday season I had my heat go out and instead of booking a call and not having heat for a few days he walked me through what might be the problem. ARE YOU KIDDING ME. It took 7 phone calls but he never got raspy or inpatient at all. He didn't care about making money, just helping a customer. WOW WOW WOW.

Value Heating went above and beyond for us during this very hot summer. Dan (the owner) has been to our house a couple of times over the years, so when our AC went out on a Saturday, we knew who to call first thing Monday morning. When Dan returned our call we learned he had been injured and wouldn't be doing service calls that week, but instead of leaving us with a broken AC and looming 107 degree temps, he walked my husband through a basic diagnostic, told us how to fix it, and refused to let us pay him for his time. Dan is honest, knowledgable, and I can't say enough about his earnestness in returning calls and following up. When it comes time for a replacement or any ongoing AC/Furnace servicing, Value Heating will be our first choice.

We have used Dan from Value Heating several times now. He truly stands above the others when it comes to professionalism and pride in his work. Our first encounter was when we were almost ready to pay over $10k for a new furnace system to a big name place but we were referred to him for a second opinion. He came out looked at the system and told us that he can fix the defective component for less than $100. He told us to use the system for as long as possible and not waste the money. It takes someone who is a real professional to know the heating system intimately and be able to fix the real issue instead of just selling an expensive system to a customer. Another recent event when we had a warning light come on and the heat was not working, we called him and he walked us through how to fix the system. He didn't even charge us. We are very appreciative of Dan and Value Heating. He has earned us as his lifetime customer. We don't trust anyone else especially the big name companies.

Dan arrived, found the problem and replaced the control board on a 30 year old furnace in an hours time...a great serviceman plus he had the new board on his truck (wow)! I would give this review 10 stars if I could.

I sent the same message to 20 different HVAC companies. That message was akin to "I need a thermostat that does not require the eyes of a hawk nor an advanced degree in computer programming." Of the 20, 12 did not even respond. Of those that did respond, most clearly did not understand the message and merely suggested installing a more advanced control device than I already had. Dan was the only one that clearly understood the message. Dan was also one of the first to respond. He knew exactly what I was looking for. Given the time of year, I expected it to be weeks before he could fix the issue. Several of those that responded had a waiting list at least a month long. Dan was able to squeeze me in within the week. He installed a very simple to operate thermostat with a display I can read from six feet away. He also was less expensive than any other company that responded. He also took the time to check out my heating system, changed the filter, and explained the system and suggested maintenance to me. A very kind, professional, understanding person and company.

Dan has been servicing my ac and furnace for about 6 years. He has always been on time, professional, and fair. Recently my ac wouldn't turn on and everyone was booked out for over a week to fix it and Dan was out a few days himself. I was starting to stress due to have a 7 month old baby and the house getting too hot. I gave Dan a call and he was able to do diagnostics over the phone and knew right away what the issue was.
