• The 1Clean Air HVAC division (formerly White Glove HVAC) undoubtedly deserves 5 stars (or more, if that were possible). BUT the separate vent cleaning division, I'd probably give 3... I hired 1Clean Air to clean my vents. Unfortunately, they drilled through my evaporator coil while doing the service. I understand that errors like that can occur, and I credit the company for immediately taking full accountability and fixing the issue within a few days (the small delay was due to parts availability rather than any hesitation on their part). HOWEVER, regarding the vent cleaning services, I was disappointed to find my HRV filters uninstalled a couple of days after the box was cleaned. They'd been left piled up inside, so I wouldn't have noticed had I not audited the work, and running the unit that way could have damaged it. The air filter door on my furnace also wasn't reinstalled properly and was left open. The large vacuum piping left black marks on my stairwell walls, and metal shards from the coil incident were left all over the floor in my basement. My rating isn't based on the coil error itself, but on these small items I expected to be handled properly. REGARDING THE HVAC TEAM: Kathleen, the first person who called to explain how the company would resolve the issue, was exceptional. She understood my concerns, kept me regularly apprised of the resolution process, took complete accountability, and ensured an actual HVAC technician was on site the same day to assess the damage. The technician who fixed the issue, Jason, did an incredible job. Replacing the evaporator coil meant replacing the entire casing around the unit, and he worked non-stop for about 8.5 hours to make sure the system was running before he left (the work was more extensive than first anticipated). His work is STELLAR. I appreciate attention to detail, and he went out of his way to make sure the install was perfect, running nitrogen while brazing and doing a triple evacuation to remove all moisture from the system. Even the stickers on the custom casing are perfectly aligned. The guy is excellent. The moral of the story: I would (and will) use their HVAC division again IF the current team is still around when I eventually need to replace my system. HOWEVER, their vent cleaning service, I'm not so sure.

• I was given a quote, booked an appointment, and took the afternoon off work for their 4-hour service window. The technician never showed, and I received absolutely no communication. It wasn't until I called that I was told the work ticket had been canceled that day because the technician wasn't prepared for the job, and somehow no one thought to notify me. All I received was a few apologies and an offer to rebook for a later date. Considering they have policy charging customers for canceling within 5 days, it's disappointing that there's no accountability when they waste a customer's time instead. Extremely unprofessional service. I won't be using this company again.

• After many years of using 1Clean Air for multiple properties, unfortunately we will never use them again. We booked a carpet cleaning which was confirmed MONTHS in advance as we knew the demand for service is high at month end. Less than 3 weeks before the service call, they advised us that they couldn't fulfil the request due to "maintenance" and left us zero feasible options. 10 days later or 10 days earlier is unhelpful when managing a month-end rental turnover. Thanks to their unreliability, we are now in bind. Sadly, never again.
