• I can't give lower than a 1 star. These people, Gus and Ashley especially, are awful at their jobs. They cannot source parts to honour your warranty so you are forced to call them, week after week, for MONTHS to remind them that you have a problem with your furnace or AC. Last winter the furnace broke down, for 2 weeks we had no heat, and I had to contact the parent company to secure the part. I am still waiting since May for my AC to get fixed. I most likely will be dead before these people can do their job. Call Top Hat or any other reputable company in Ottawa. My dream home became a nightmare because these people cannot do their jobs. How fair is that? Why buy a warranty? Why does the customer have to source parts for the owner? I hope everyone here loses their jobs. To be clear, I did not select this company. The builder of my dream home did. Thank you Mattamy for cutting corners and leaving me with these useless people.

• While install was good the problems will arise a couple of years later if you ever need you unit serviced. Called them 6 times over the course of a 1.5 months for an update on a fix and they cant tell me what part they need or if they have it. They keep promising a call back and never do. Save yourself the trouble and go somewhere else.

• Extremely disappointed with the service we received. We called because our air conditioning wasn't working, and it took several days just to get someone out to look at it. When the technician finally arrived, we were told nothing could be done until some frozen pipes thawed out — so we waited almost a week and had to call multiple times just to get them to come back. When the technician, whose name I believe was Young, returned, he said the system was simply low on refrigerant. We were charged $305 for a dye kit, $115 for testing, and $294 for refrigerant — supposedly to fix the issue for good. He told us he'd return in two weeks to check for leaks. That follow-up never happened on its own; we had to call repeatedly to get him back out. When he did return, he said everything looked fine and there were no leaks. Within days, ice had built up on the unit again and water started leaking onto our floor — the exact same problem we originally called about, still unresolved after all these visits and charges. It feels like the goal was to maximize the number of paid visits and add-on charges rather than actually fix the problem. I would not recommend this company. If you're looking for a reliable HVAC contractor, I'd suggest looking elsewhere.

• I was a client of a competitor and had even bought a protection plan for my AC through them. However, when it stopped working, I was told that protrction plan would not cover any repairs because my 8-year old AC unit was not repairable. Seeking a 2nd opinion, I reached out to Ambassador Dearie HVAC who responded quickly with setting up a visit to assess my AC unit. During that initial visit, the technician not only determined the cause of the problem but also repaired the unit that I was told was not repairable. • It was one of the coldest days in January 26, my blower fan went on my furnace. I called Ambassador Dearie on a Thursday morning, they sent a tech by the house 2 hours later, and they confirmed it was a blower fan and it fried the main computer board on my 20 year old furnace - it wasn't worth it to get it fixed. They provided me with a quote for a new furnace an hour later and my new furnace was installed the following day! The techs were fast and efficient - they did a wonderful job. • Amazing service, fair price! We did not choose this Hvac by searching for "the best near me", we just called the number on our furnace sticker (we thought there was no time to shop around) and we are quite happy that we did. Our furnace room had a smell of gas and while it wasn't too strong, we were not going to take any chances. The person who took the initial call told us clearly that this would be charged as an emergency response since it was Sunday. The technician called within the 15 min. of the first dispatch call and told us his arrival time (within the next 2 hours) and was on time arriving to our home. He was amazing, explained everything he did, put our minds at ease and even answered some basic home-owner questions without being condescending. He even made a followup call an hour later to make sure we made the changes on our thermostat and water heater that he had suggested.
