  • Today, their HVAC tech did an inspection and servicing, plumber replaced main water cutoff valve and water heater valve. Last spring, I had their plumber inspect my water heater and their electricians replaced several indoor and outdoor light fixtures. They all arrived on time, knew what they were doing, kept me informed as they were working. Friendly and efficient, made sure everything was working and put back in place when they were done. Reasonable price. Next time I need maintenance or service, I'm going to call Academy again.

  • Repair of furnace, burner not coming on only the fan. Santiago and Mateo were knowledgeable and professional. They fixed the issue, stayed to make sure the system came to temperature. They checked all the vents and finally set my desired default house temp. They were also great with my dogs!

  • This business really knows how to make customers happy! Just had my AC motor replaced in less than 24 hours. The guy that helped me from the phone call, ordering the exact part I needed, and also came to fix the unit was Derek. Such a great person, you can tell he really wanted to help, and took his job to the next level! I will be a lifetime customer from hear on out! I will say you're in amazing hands with this company.

  • Terrible experience calling on them for plumbing. If you have a plumbing issue just save your money. They charge $98 an hour and bring out two people but will take so long for a simple job that you will end up paying just as much as anywhere else. Maybe they're better at Hvac.

They are one of the most honest and reasonably priced plumbing shop in the entire city of Albuquerque and I won’t say that lightly about any business in Albuquerque! Everyone at this business is so pleasant to work with from Rhonda or Shelly, who answer the phone to Dereck, who comes to do the work.

  • I requested an estimate be completed at my parents residence for refrigerated air. The employee who came out, was rude, judgmental and treated us as if we couldn’t afford the job. He never sent me the estimate. And the estimate was completed about a month ago. Well I ended up going with TLC. This company lost business. Poor service. Would not recommend

  • Came to give me a estimate to switch to refrigerated air after 30 minutes looking it over they called with a esimate..o wait, they told me they could not fit the unit in the current heater closet. The other three contractors didn't even flinch when seeing it. Move on to someone else.

  • Academy overcharges for their parts (gas valve-notice below at the other review)! Our heater is older but found another company (Simmons) with the same part that was reasonably priced. When I told the technician I would try to get the part on line, he put the 'old' part behind the panel unattached and hurried out the door....I ran and got him to take the part out behind the panel. Simmon's mentioned how unprofessional they were by just leaving it unattached. He didn't have enough time to reattach it and test the gas valve to see if it REALLY was the problem. Academy said we'd need a transformer too. The other guy tested it and it was fine. Simmon's staff were courteous, explained the problem by showing and troubleshooting. The heater is working VERY WELL!!! My elderly mom has used Academy in the past....by looking at the bills they took advantage. They lost us as customers!
