• I am a boiler technician and I see many job sites. Ace provided a 5,000,000 BTU/Hr heating package to a hospital that I was contracted to start-up. (See photo of boilers) The job site was clean, organized and secure for the small footprint that it took-up. Managed very well by the foreman on site; Kyle. Communication with the complexities of project management was taken care of swiftly by Jolene. Great management all around, I will be happy to work with Ace Plumbing again.

• My experience with Ace was more than I expected. I had them come to resituat a dishwasher that was moved. The Fisher Pacel machine is not common here in Kelowna. I was unable to get an appliance repair person to come and help me with the problem. Ace sent me Kent who was not only pleasant, but took on the project and stuck with it until he righted the problem. Others might have given up, but Kent got the job done without a hint of frustrstion or any complaint. So nice to find a local plumber that will take a chance on an.odd request and get the job done. Plumbers are people I need from time to time, I will call Ace without hesitation!

• One of their drivers, a young fat guy with a mustache and curly hair driving a va, almost hit me as I was crossing Glenmore. Dude recklessly blasted through the intersection and I had to get out of the way. Maybe you should vet your drivers or provide better training. Brutal

• On the first day, they checked my AC for about an hour. They couldn’t fix it, so they just put a wet use and dirty towel on the compressor to cool it down. The next day, someone came to check the model of my AC to see if they could replace it, then left after about 10 minutes. Now they’re charging me $600 just for putting a wet towel on the compressor. They didn’t even fix it! What a rip-off.

• EDIT: I'd like to address the reply as I can see by previous reviews that they're more interested in just replying to reviews rather than actually fixing the problem at hand. The 'confirmation' shared was them saying they preferred to use the wall switch, not requesting you to disable the remote by installing the wrong parts. As for the fireplace panel, yes—the home sat vacant for several months. But your technician was the only one to open the fireplace during that time. No one else touched it. Regardless of time elapsed, adding to this, you advertise a 1 year workmanship guarantee so we are well within the timeframe of your warranty period. Lastly, you mention you're open to constructive dialogue but getting an answer from Ace requires multiple follow ups to get a reply. Speaking of which, my last email pointing out the above was ignored. I am still waiting on a reply. I'm asking for them to stand by their advertised warranty, and to install the correct parts in our fireplace that you were paid to do. Original: Avoid Ace at all costs. They have no interest in standing behind their work. I have given Ace over a month to resolve significant issues with mistakes their technicians have made on our home and have gotten nowhere. Their technician physically damaged our fireplace when installing a replacement part and to add insult to injury, they installed the incorrect component on our fireplace and we now cannot use our remote to control it. They are adamant that the glass their technician removed and reinstalled broke on its own accord, and the ECM they installed was the correct (although the manufacturer disagrees). I have spent the better part of the last month trying to come to a resolution with the Ace Team with no luck. They do not honour the warranty listed on their site, and expect me to pay $1,500 + labour for replacement parts that are available at their competitors for $700. The Okanagan has no shortage of service companies, find someone else who can stand by their work.

• Hired to do a garage water line hookup by simply tying into the garden hose outlet. Lack of parts made the install a real mess and it cost $700+ after a second tech had to come back the next day. Fast forward to an electric hot water tank install. Once again, lack of parts, tech to go up Hiway to find none. Then the tank starts a small leak after closing time so once again, a second visit will be required which I'm sure I'll pay dearly for. I'll be finishing both jobs by myself and sincerely regret hiring Ace to do any of it. No more.

• Completing a renovation and looking for a Montigo Fireplace as part of the work to be completed. Suggested to go to Ace Plumbing’s new showroom. I called and they said it was open to the public and no appt necessary. I arrived right at noon ( unintentionally ) and the receptionist told me the fireplace tech was off that day and she went to find someone else for me. I watched the receptionist talk to this “other person” and then come to me to say that this person was “ going into a meeting” .. How rude. The receptionist was apologetic for this and very nice. Feeling bad, she gathered a few product pamphlets for me and suggested I call and or email for better service…I did both with no response. I also filled a request for quote form on their website and received nothing. A company doesn’t get to this seemingly successful level with service like that. They have many good reviews and I’m sure they are better than this. My intent here is in hope that they read this review and teach all of their staff to not be lazy and dismissive of a potential client. Ultimately I dealt with another supplier in town.
