• Installers violated ESA safety standards when they installed my heat pump. First of all, when I had my HVAC system installed, my only complaint was that the unit in my bedroom (it was a 3-unit HVAC system) kept leaking water whenever I had it on air conditioning mode. ACS came twice to try and fix the problem but were unable to find out why the unit kept leaking. Then, about a year and a half later (spring 2025), I had some serious water damage to my bedroom. As part of the investigation what could have cause the water damage, another HVAC specialist came to inspect my bedroom. This person took one quick look at my HVAC system and right away said "the drain is in the wrong place". Another one of my neighbours, a real estate agent with no specialist knowledge in HVACs, was also able to correctly see that the position of the drain was incorrect. This was the reason my HVAC leaked. What was even more concerning was that the HVAC specialist found out that the cable used to connect my unit to the electrical power source had the wrong amperage. I used to have a one-unit system and had ACS replace it with a 3-unit system. My 3-unit system needed a cable of at least 30 amps, the one that I had then only had 20 amps. ACS's response (and I quote): "the breaker 20 amp we did not touch that was existing from your old unit and the unit is working fine" As per the HVAC specialist who came in 2025, this last matter is a serious violation of ESA standards. Overall, these were the problems this HVAC specialist identified: 1. Indoor Head Unit Installed Unlevelled The console was found to be out of level. The drain hose was installed above the drain connection point, causing improper drainage and internal overflow. 2. Drainage System Issues The drain hose from the upper unit was improperly tied into the main-floor unit’s drain line, causing shared drainage and contributing to overflow.The drain connector block end cap for the indoor unit was missing. 3. Improper Electrical Installation Communication and power cabling for the indoor head were not rated for outdoor conditions and lacked mechanical protection and waterproofing. Main power feed and branch breakers for the outdoor condenser did not meet the manufacturer’s minimum electrical requirements. 4. Refrigerant Line Set Deficiency The original copper line set, and insulation were not replaced at the time of the new heat pump installation, contrary to best practices and manufacturer recommendations. 5. Missing Service Port The discharge line service port for the spare head was missing, limiting proper servicing capacity. I advise everyone who had used this company's services to get their systems checked by a board certified technician. Use the ESA or TSSA websites to find such a contractor. And if you need a new heat pump, I also advise you to look up certified contractors on either of these two websites. You might have to pay more, but it is for your own safety.

• Honestly overall a really bad experience. Called them over to look at a non functional duct and to look and do maintenance on ac system. Dude that came over was not very knowledgeable told me can’t do anything for hvac ducting as does not have the right equipment. Didn’t have a ladder I had to get him one. Didn’t have a hose I didn’t have one either so didn’t do anything to the AC. He literally stood and around and talked there was no inspection there was not one screw removed or an ounce of effort done. The most this guy did was climb the ladder. Nothing done and nothing to do but still charged me $150 for the service. I guess thats the cost to summon these guys for a convo. Anyways they are not professional. I was given no invoice told to e-transfer money. So you know there is no warranty or proof.

• My Home furnace was RED Tagged on December 1st of this year , with a 14 Day Clearance Period. Which means I have 14 days to repaired or replaced the unit , it can be stressful enough choosing a unit that’s suitable for your home, without having to worry the gas made me shut off … From my first phone conversation with ACS to thanking and saying goodbye to the technicians who installed the unit. They said absolutely , they started asking me questions about the Furnace that will be replace, of course I didn’t have the answer, the gentleman I was speaking with politely said that’s not a problem. He asked if I could take a few photos of the old furnace, as well as the area inside and outside where the direct venting maybe placed .I forward the photos , then in no time I received a text with the information of a Furnace suitable for my home ,along with the Quote . On the 3rd of December I called and accepted this affordable Quote and made arrangements to have the unit installed .ACS Team offered to have the unit installed the next day , we settled on the fifth of December , ACS technician team were scheduled for Friday morning the fifth of December to arrive between , 9 , and 10 :am Friday morning the Technicians provided an excellent service and installation for our new home furnace. They Texts in advance, arrived on time and explained all of the process. They dismantled the old unit , exposed of it , after the installation of the new unit the area in which the technicians worked was left in a respectable condition. Everything nice and clean . • We recently purchased a new all-gas Kitchen Aid stove to replace our long-serving Kitchen Aid convection oven-gas stove top stove. There were a number of problems with the previous installation, making the job of connecting the new stove to both gas and hydro more complicated and time consuming then normal. The crew who did the work explained what was required to properly and safely connect and install the new stove, and when the work was completed they took the time to give me a demonstrate of a couple of procedures that I could not figure out, and when they left, the areas in the kitchen and basement where they did they work were cleaner than when they started. As a person of limited abilities when it comes to technical processes involving electricity or gas, I appreciate the professionals who explain to me the whats and whys of their work in terms I can appreciate. The weather was -15c, a foot of snow on the ground, so it was urgent to get heat on again. I called Affordable Climate Solution, because I got a referral from two of my neighbours.
