Jim showed up during the scheduled time immediately got to work addressing the issue found the root cause provided me with information and a quote and then was able to resolve it within the hour.   • We had a very good experience with Burkhardt. Elliot, the salesman, did us a solid by moving up our central air installation date in the middle of a vicious heat wave, as my wife and I are seniors and can’t take the extreme heat. He actually tried to nurse our old central air unit back to health to get us through the days before the new unit could be installed. We also had a failing furnace, so we had a new one installed at the same time. The techs that installed both units, Troy and Andy, did a great job, especially since it was 100 degrees outside. They were clean and efficient. Everyone accommodated our needs, and did so for a very competitive price. Use this company!

  • Just called to see about a 1" BCV - Building Control Valve - Woman didnt know what it was. Explained it to her. Business couldnt give an estimate other than for $45 fee plumber will come look at the problem and then will give estimate. I stated I know what the problem is, she said $45 would be applied to final cost. Fine, but they still couldnt give out a price for a replacement of a 1" ball valve. Typ BS from typ plumbers. There are methods to determine costs ie Means that are used in the industry and are a solid reference to determine costs and this business cant do it. Martens in MUK was $132 for an hour of time which for a valve replacement is a fair number. I highly suggest working with plumbers that can give out a not to exceed cost so that the final number isnt shocking after the fact/work. As a 30yr plumbing design/engineer I would look elsewhere for upfront costs rather than BHCPE. Zero stars.
