• We had a very disappointing experience with Chicago Heating & Cooling and unfortunately cannot recommend this company. In November 2025, we hired them to inspect our furnace and paid more than $3,500 for what we were told was a heat exchanger replacement, which came with a one-year parts warranty. By April 2026, we were having problems again. We had three other HVAC companies independently inspect the furnace, and all three told us the heat exchanger was cracked. We were also told that, based on its condition, it appeared the heat exchanger may not have been replaced previously as we had understood. We reached out to the owner, Patrick Smith, but initially received no response. He eventually contacted us in June and said he would take care of the issue. It is now September, and despite the one-year parts warranty and multiple months passing, we still have not received a clear plan or confirmation for replacing the cracked heat exchanger. Communication has been extremely unreliable, with long periods of no response. After paying more than $3,500 for this work, we expected the company to stand behind its service and warranty. Instead, we have spent months trying to get the issue addressed. Based on our experience, we do not consider this company reliable or trustworthy, and I would not recommend them.

• Buyer beware. Communication horrible with this company. Purchased the yearly maintenance package for both of my HVAC units for $498. They were easy to get ahold of and get a response from until I paid them. Took multiple messages to schedule an appointment. Finally, scheduled something on a Friday for Patrick to show up from 1-3pm and took off work to do so. Waited until 3pm and no one showed up. Tried calling, texting, and emailing with no answer or response. At 6:15pm, I finally get an email saying he got caught up at another job and he’ll fit me in for next week. Not even the common courtesy to call or text me while I was waiting all day for him. After their lack of respect for my time, I decided to ask for my money back and go with a more reputable company. He agreed to refund my money and I asked him to approve the refund through PayPal by responding to them and once again got no response. Luckily, PayPal sided in my favor and refunded me the money, but took longer than it should have because of the poor service and communication. If you decide to use this company, pay with PayPal so you can easily get your money back if you find yourself in a similar situation as me.

We had a large job that required a deposit, which was given. After weeks of back and forth, the property owner decided to get another vendor due to the urgency of the repair.
