• I am extremely dissatisfied with the service I have received regarding my boiler repair. My boiler stopped working on February 21st. Your company did not come out to inspect it until February 23rd, at which time I was told the issue was a faulty relay that needed to be ordered. I was informed the part would arrive on February 25th and be installed that same day. On February 24th, I was told the part had arrived — only to find out it was the wrong part. Instead of properly confirming compatibility before ordering, this caused further delay. The contractor later stated he would personally go to a store to find the correct relay. He installed it on February 25th and left. When I returned home, my house was 96 degrees, clearly indicating the repair was not properly diagnosed or completed. The underlying issue that caused the relay to fail was never addressed. The boiler malfunctioned again as a result. I contacted your company immediately. A second inspector did not come until February 27th, at which point I was informed that an additional part should have been ordered along with the relay in the first place. That part is now not expected to arrive until March 4th. As a result of repeated misdiagnoses and improper repair procedures, I have now been without reliable heat for over seven days, with my home temperatures dropping as low as 30 degrees. I am extremely concerned about frozen or burst pipes and the potential for serious property damage. Despite paying monthly for your maintenance service, I have been offered: • No temporary heating solution • No discount • No service credit • No urgency to resolve the situation This situation reflects poor diagnostics, lack of quality control, and a complete failure to provide the service I am paying for. The inconvenience, discomfort, and risk to my property are unacceptable. I expect: 1. Immediate resolution of the repair. 2. Compensation or service credit for the extended loss of heat. 3. Reimbursement for any damages if pipes freeze or burst. 4. A formal explanation of how this repair was mishandled. I am documenting this issue and will escalate the matter further if it is not addressed promptly.

• I'm leaving this review after having Detroit Furnace come out to my home in sept 2025. To upgrade the whole system which is 2 Furnace unit and 2 Ac unit for 21k, And i remember they were super fast when i approved the replacement they next day to install and get paid After that problems starts comes one after one , one day no heat another day no cool , i might called over 5 times within 2 weeks after installation for same issues over heat or no heat, anyway as if today which after 2 months of installation I had a leak coming from my attic through my ceiling/wall because of new units they installed it seems the system not properly draining. I called first thing in morning and explain how the water is everywhere and missed up the flooring and ceiling but they dont care and the and the answer was is fully booked and the earliest would be next day , Detroit furnace get $21,000 out of me after parts + labor for replacing working good system i have nothing wrong with old system the only thing was the age is 20 years and time to replacement I will not be using this company in the future and I would warn you to be careful if you choose to use them. It was a waste of $21k, but it could have been a lot more.

• We have had Jessie and Caleb come out. Both have been fantastic. The last visit was from Caleb. We had a faucet installed and it was recalled. This resulted in us having Caleb come out to replace it with a new one I had purchased. Caleb had suggestions about brands and was very helpful. Ultimately, there was a malfunction with the new faucet. Go figure. To our surprise, even in a time crunch, Caleb provided and installed a very nice faucet to use until we’re able to go grab another one. I’d definitely have both of them back out… highly recommended.

• Can't say enough good things about this company. It looks like they have another office in Fraser. Long time customer of them. I've used them to fix my furnace, snake my drain, and for maintenance. • Dteenergy use Detroit furnace and plumbing contractor for their home repairs I had a plugged sink the plumber told me he couldn’t do the job because the way my drain lines were installed ( plumbing fixtures installed 2002) this is my kitchen double sink. And dteenergy home warranty doesn’t cover it. I said how much will it cost the first price was $400.00, I said too much, the 2nd price he gave me was $329.00 I said still too much then he left. I called Detroit Furnace and plumbing company and was told they get back with me. They called and gave a price of $375.00 I said no. I took a picture under my sink of the plumbing and went to Home Depot talk to a couple of pluming contractors and bought 4 plastic plumbing parts that cost under &40.00 and saved $335,00 that is a RIP OFF! Senior and consumers beware of this company, they don’t care BEWARE!

• Detroit Furnace quoted us 2 GRAND and "had to rip our cabinets out and redo the entire plumbing system" for a CLOGGED DRAIN. My father in law fixed it in 1 hour for $4 in parts. Scammers just trying to get a pay day out of people. Horrible company. The "plumber" also CREATED A NEW LEAK! Refused to do anything but make the problem worse. Save your time, call some random handy man without any training, they know A LOT more than these guys.

• Mitchell M. from Detroit Furnace was awesome! My heat went out in the middle of the night. I use the DTE Appliance Repair program, so they contacted Detroit Furnace. My scheduled time was between 12-4. Mitchell called me at 10:30 to see if I wanted him to come early. I was extremely grateful as it was very cold in my house. He was professional and courteous. He got right to work and diagnosed the problem within minutes. He explained everything he was doing, and gave me information about a recall/lawsuit that involves my furnace. He had my furnace back up and running in a very short time. He told me that a new furnace is in my very near future. • Referred by DTE and couldn't be happier. The fan motor on our older furnace went out and George arrived the next day (on a holiday no less!) to diagnose. He was courteous and professional. He confirmed it was the fan motor but being that the furnace was older, the part was special order. He informed us that it would likely be 3-5 business days but called the following morning (today), and was here by 10:30am and had the part replaced within 30 minutes and the system back up and running. He tidied up the wires inside the access panel. Quick and efficient! Our furnace hasn't run this smoothly since we purchased the home 7 years ago. Thanks George!!
