• We hired Instant for a Poly-B removal and a basement rough-in. The Poly-B removal and shower valve replacements went very smoothly; the work was completed quickly and to a high standard. However, the bathroom rough-in phase was where we encountered significant issues. We failed our first inspection because a one-way check valve was installed in the incorrect location, which delayed our project by at least two weeks. The technical errors continued with the main plumbing stack, which was left protruding from the wall. To drywall over it, I had to add material to the stud wall, which narrowed the room. Because the toilet flange had also been installed at the incorrect distance from the wall, this extra material ensured a standard 12" toilet would no longer fit. These issues were unfortunately discovered after the concrete had already been poured. While the technician was dismissive and argumentative when I raised these concerns with him directly, the owner was excellent to deal with and rectified the situation by providing a 10" toilet to replace the one I had purchased. I hoped the issues would end there, but I later discovered the shower drain was installed at an angle that made it impossible to set the shower base. This required me to rip out the fresh concrete and re-plumb the drain myself, costing a full day of labor. While the owner was understanding and provided some compensation for my time, the series of egregious errors and lack of attention to detail during the rough-in makes it impossible for me to recommend their services. The management is professional, but the quality of the field execution was not there.

• We have had Instant Plumbing and Heating help us out with a number of problems over the years and they have been consistently excellent. They do high quality work and they actually show up when they say they will. We've been in our new home for 5 years and haven't had any need for a plumber until recently when our newly installed water monitoring system notified us about high wanter pressure in our lines. I confirmed this myself and then called Instant Plumbing. They sent a very pleasant plumber (Kris) who made a great impression with his demeanour and also with his knowledge. He confirmed our pressure issue and then explained the options open to us and why we probably should do something to reduce the water pressure in our home. I ended up choosing what was probably the most expensive option and about 2 weeks later the parts were in and Kris came to do the installation. He showed both of us how to keep an eye on the new system, let us know about the 3 year warranty and told us to call if we had any questions or concerns. In a world where people aren't always careful and customer focused, Instant Plumbing stands out from the pack. We recommend them highly. 2. • Finally! There's been a stubborn sewage backup that has been cleared a couple times now but kept happening from the same line of pipe causing sudden and massive backups when it happened. These guys came out with all the fun toys and actually figured out the root of the issue (25' of another auger cable tangled in the pipe), removed it, and cleared the pipes out without smashing up the floor thanks to some good thinking, skillful use of another auger to pull out the old cable, all aided by a pretty badass camera that showed us absolutely everything wrong with the whole situation. Thank you guys for finally getting this situation solved! Where some plumbers have just given up or thought they fixed it when the flush wasn't immediately causing a backup anymore, George and his team actually got it figured out. So thank you again for your skill and determination in solving a stubborn problem.

• **Lowest quote out of 5 companies in Calgary We hired Elijah Neufeld through this company for our Poly B replacement. This company was one of the couple of places where they sent actual journeymen to check the house and overall condition (most of them sent in an estimator). So, not only the quote came out competitive but also I could get a realistic expectation on how long the project will be and what surprises might happen (we understood that it is inevitable as pipes are behind the wall). On the day of the project, he came in with his apprentice. They diligently worked throughout the whole day and whenever they found something that potentially can be an issue (pre-existing issues) and they right away informed us what can be done to prevent them from happening. This was helpful in understanding the overall maintenance of the water pipe and keeping its lifespan. The most satisfactory part was that he was trustworthy. There was no hidden cost and I was well informed of a small potential for some hourly charges if required. As a homeowner, it went a long way as I could properly prepare the budget. Also, when city inspector visited my place today, he confirmed that the plumber did an excellent job, hence 5 minute walk-through of the house was sufficient enough to get passed the inspection. My only 2 cents is that it would be great if more prep work is done for flooring (we have engineered hardwood flooring and some of the drywall dust and water came from the pipe got caked in the cracks) or if it is client's responsibility, perhaps more clearly communicate the need for covering the floor. Other than, I'm very happy with the service and will be contacting them for the next project.
