• Jarman did work for us 2 years ago, when our in the wall bedroom AC died. After searching several options, we initially chose Jarman because of their experience in South Philly row homes. The old unit was in the wall, but the opening was not large enough to for a new unit. Jarman estimated the job (reasonable cost) showed up right on time, (prompt), enlarged the opening, installed a new Freidrich unit, all in less than a day. Fast forward 2 years. Our back bedroom only has a single small window, and the small AC we had been using was dying. We wanted a new AC installed in the wall. Based on our previous experience, we called Jarman. I explained what we were looking for. Mike came to look at the job that afternoon. He sent us the estimate later that day for cutting a new hole, installing the AC, framing the opening, etc. We let Mike know which unit we wanted. He came with his team - a little while after breakfast, and the job was completed by lunchtime! We're thrilled with the great work. Someone on here left a review saying Jarman was the best workers they've had in their house. We couldn't agree more! Big thanks to Mike, Ron, and Carmine! *side note: our 1st floor AC is on it's last legs. But we know who to call when we're ready to replace it! • Very unprofessional company. If you are in need of h v a c service, do not call this place, I have been calling them for a few days in a row throughout the day trying to get some service on the building that they are supposed to be serving and they do not pick up the phone, do not return phone calls. It's absurd for an h v a c company not to have somebody picking up the phone as they are supposed to be available consistently, especially in inclement weather such as happening right now for their customers and for providing service...And as a matter of fact, today, I actually did reach someone, he started listening to me but then just hung up the phone. when I called back again, there was no answer. Do not rely on this place and don't even waste your time.. better look elsewhere for help. The owner called me back after this review, asking me why i trashed his company on google. He says they are a 3 man crew and always on the road. He was being very aggressive telling me I am wrong because i didn't leave a message He also stated that they can not afford a secretary and that i should have left a message. I guess at least he called me back to explain how they work, he did say no one would help me but his company at my building which is disturbing considering that this must be like a monopoly they run in conjunction with the building. It's absurd that after not picking up the phone for days they have the audacity to tell me that my review is unwarranted. How about taking responsibility to running good business practices

• I'm not big on giving reviews or references. That said, when a company goes above and beyond, not to do so would be negligent of me. First, I've alway had central air. I moved into a condo and needed through the wall AC units and was referred Jarman. Bob took hours over several phone calls and educated me on AC units. How not to oversize the unit (BTU's), installation among a myriad of other issues I should consider. Never any pressure to purchase. I had two units installed yesterday. His installers are extremely qualified and did an excellent job. Professional is an understatement. At the very least, I recommend that you talk with Bob before going anywhere else. • For anyone in the market for an air conditioner, I recommend Jarman Sales & Service. It is a family-owned business specializing in air conditioners. I called and told them what I wanted, three Friedrich air conditioners for my apartment, and they had them in stock. Mike and Bob, who work in the office, explained their procedures, and I was called in advance when someone was coming to assess the job. Ron came out to see what was needed. Then, on the day of installation, Ron and Anthony showed up on time and immediately went to work, removing the old air conditioners, thoroughly cleaning the wall sleeves, and ensuring the sleeves were sealed so there would be no drafts. They brought their cleaning materials with them, including drop cloths so that when they were finished there was no trace work had been done. Removal of the old air conditioners was included in the cost. Everyone I dealt with was pleasant and answered all the questions I had. They are professionals who know their business. I wholeheartedly recommend them.
