• My condenser's compressor stopped working a couple of nights ago. I went out and inspected the unit in the morning and the capacitor looked in good condition and had continuity--so I called a tech out, not Kyle, but another company--to diagnosis and fix the issue. The first tech confirmed the capacitor was good, tried to hard start the compressor and nothing, so instead of taking the fan off and actually looking at the compressor, he said you need a new HVAC system (I have R22, so the handler would need to be updated to the same coolant as the condenser). I was calling around for system quotes and located Precision Comfort. Talked to Kyle and I said I want an estimate for a system replacement, but he insisted he come out, for free, to inspect the system first just in case he can fix it. I told him I already had a tech come out that morning, but he wanted to make sure. Kyle shows up, takes the fan off, immediately diagnosis the problem, the contacts on the compressor and a wire had burnt up, and he fixed it. Cost me $375.00 for a service call instead of $9k for a new system. Kyle made a small effort and it went a long way. I highly recommend Kyle and will be using him for my HVAC maintenance and repair in the future.
