• In March 2024, I hired this company to replace my basement water heater. Their technician performed a "like-for-like" swap, installing a new natural draft water heater missing the code requirements. However, the mechanical room where this unit was placed can only be accessed by walking directly through a basement bedroom. As a licensed gas contractor, this company is legally required to ensure installations comply with Ontario gas safety codes. By installing a standard natural draft appliance in a small room off an exclusive sleeping area without the mandatory sealed doors or dedicated outside air lines, this installation directly violates CSA B149.1 Clause 7.27.1 (enforced by the TSSA). This creates a direct backdrafting and carbon monoxide safety hazard. This was neither assessed during the installation in 2024 nor brought to my attention about the risks so that I could have taken an informed decision. Another visit was performed in April 2024 to provide a quote for switching the existing furnace. Even then nothing was mentioned to alert me. Had the technician properly inspected the space and informed me of the code restrictions at the time, I would have immediately chosen a power-vented model or adjusted my basement layout. Because they failed to raise this issue, I proceeded with further basement renovations—including investing in building a new washroom in May 2025—completely unaware that my underlying utility setup was dangerously non-compliant. I brought this to the attention on May 04 2026 but there was no accountability on the error made other than proposals to change the fully functioning furnace and the new water heater (installed in 2024). I have made multiple documented attempts to reach this contractor to resolve this safety violation amicably. I sent detailed text messages to the number listed on their website on June 4, 2026, and again on June 15, 2026. Following up, I left a detailed voicemail directly with their office on June 17, 2026, at 1:19 PM. Every single one of my attempts to communicate has been completely ignored. The impact of their actions is severe: I am left with a non-compliant utility setup, regulatory exposure during an upcoming safety review, and a space that cannot be safely used as a sleeping area. I am incredibly disappointed by the lack of professionalism, the total disregard for basic public safety codes, and the complete silence.

• My 18 year old furnace stopped working at night time and I called ultra air heating and cooling because I had no heating on a winter night. The owner who was very nice and polite came over an hour later and temporarily started the furnace for me . The air blower was finished and ready to die. The owner suggested he could order a new blower but it would cost $1,000. Since the furnace was old I told him to install a new furnace for me. The next day he came over and installed a new furnace. • We were in the market for a new furnace and water heater. We were recommended Ultra Air by a handyman that we trust, and we weren't disappointed. Before going to Ultra Air, we got quotes from a bunch of different HVACs including Home Depot and En Blue. I am sure both Home Depot and En Blue would have been good choices, however, Ultra air was the most reasonable for us. Nitin (the owner) is a delight to work with. The first thing we noticed is that he was not pushing to make a sale.
