After two separate service experiences, I can confidently say the reviews were right! My first call was Friday, July 10, when my LG refrigerator suddenly stopped cooling and freezing—right after I had gone grocery shopping, of course! 😩 I called YA Services around 2:00 PM and was pleasantly surprised when an actual person, Joseph, answered the phone. He was professional, personable, and immediately began assessing the situation. At one point, Joseph asked me to hold. Now, in my head I was thinking, “No, this man did not just put me on hold on a Friday afternoon when my refrigerator isn’t working and I JUST went grocery shopping!” 😂 Yes, I was being dramatic. Less than a minute later, Joseph came back and said he was going to fit me in that same evening. John followed up, explained the service-call fee and told me when to expect Joseph. I also received a text when Joseph was en route, and he arrived promptly. What impressed me immediately was that Joseph didn’t just walk into my home and start tinkering with my refrigerator. He introduced himself, shared a little about the company, explained what he was going to do and what I could expect. Before he ever touched my refrigerator, I understood why YA Services had such great reviews. Joseph diagnosed the problem as the compressor—a common issue with LG refrigerators. Here’s where his expertise and integrity really stood out: I had already contacted LG and had been told my five-year warranty had expired. Joseph explained that because of known compressor issues, LG offered extended coverage on the compressor and told me specifically what I needed to ask about when I called back. I had no idea! I followed his instructions, and it significantly reduced my repair cost. That Tuesday, Joseph and Malik from Ohio Express Appliances arrived with the compressor from LG, and my refrigerator was back up and running! 👏🏾 They were also extremely respectful of my home—organized, careful around nearby items, and they thoroughly cleaned their work area afterward. Fast-forward to August 14: I discovered water leaking into my Electrolux dryer. After another consultation with my trusted advisor—LOL—I knew exactly who I was calling. YA Services! Once again, Joseph answered the phone. He even offered to work with John to see if they could get someone out that same Friday afternoon.
