  • Cory was very professional, knowledgeable, and arrived right on time. The price was also reasonable. I truly appreciate the excellent service.

  • Called three times asking to speak with a manager and haven’t received a call back. Bought a new unit 1year ago and already stopped working. The first appt is in three days and they won’t even give me a time window.

  • ⭐ 1-Star Review I strongly recommend avoiding Champion AC Company in San Antonio. We scheduled a tune-up appointment not once, but twice. Both times, we were given an unreasonable 12-hour service window and had to take time off work to sit at home and wait for someone to show up. After sacrificing an entire workday waiting for service, we were simply canceled on and rescheduled. No technician showed up, and the lack of communication throughout this entire process has been incredibly frustrating. What is especially disappointing is the complete disregard for customers' time. People work, have responsibilities, and shouldn't have to rearrange their lives repeatedly for a company that can't honor its appointments or communicate properly. The level of inconsideration and poor customer service is ridiculous. I honestly don't understand how a company with experiences like this maintains a 4.9-star rating. Save yourself the frustration. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this company.

  • Shameful…A sales person from champion home service attempted to take advantage of my friend who is on the spectrum. She was encouraged to completely abandon her 8 year-old gas furnace, AC and ductwork. $24,000 worth mini-splits were recommended.A second opinion showed no notable issues with the system. No diagnosis or testing of the unit was performed by champion home services. The system had been off for 5 days prior to the second opinion (2nd Hottest week of the year so far this year) My friend was under the assumption damage had occurred after a recent storm. The second opinion showed there was no damage from the storm and the system cools properly.

  • UPDATE: About an hour after posting my initial review, a manager reached out and apologized for the incorrect information I received during my first call. Champion AC does, in fact, provide free estimates for customers seeking a new unit. I appreciate the prompt follow‑up, the acknowledgment of the oversight, and the effort to make things right.////End Update. I’m seeking a replacement AC unit for my parents, whose system recently failed. I contacted Champion AC to request an estimate for replacing their very old, non‑functional unit. The representative informed me there would be an $89 service fee just to provide the estimate. After calling four other companies as part of my research, Champion AC is the only one requiring a service fee. I’m disappointed that a straightforward request turned into unnecessary back‑and‑forth. I will not be using Champion AC and do not recommend them to others. At the end of the day, I simply needed a price so I could purchase a unit to keep my elderly parents’ home cool.

  • I called on a Monday (7/27), Wednesday (7/29) was the first available day they could schedule a Technician to come to my home. Come Wednesday, at 5:27pm, after waiting all day, I was sent a text that there was high demand and I would have to reschedule the appointment. I rescheduled for Thursday (7/30), at 12:41pm I receive another "high volume, need to reschedule, text. Keep in mind this is in the middle of our Summer 2026 Heat Wave! I call to stress that I cannot keep rescheduling. A Technician is sent that Thursday afternoon (after 4pm). The Tech identifies the problem, compressor has gone out. Tech puts in the parts order that day. Today is 8/10/2026 and I have had ZERO communication with this company that was initiated by them to provide an ETA, update, etc. I called on: 8/1, 8/3, 8/6, 8/7, and 8/10. Each time just simply asking for some update or reassurance when the part would arrive. I was told that the Parts Coordinator would give me a call three separate times. Never received a call back. Today, 8/10, marks two weeks since I called Champion and my family and home have been without AC this entire time. This has cost: hotel stays, window AC units purchased, and staying with relatives. I will not fault a company for the failures in distribution routes or warehouse issues. What has made this experience terrible is the fact that communication has been non existent. No call backs, no updates, nothing. I've since called Jon Wayne AC company the morning of 8/10, they were at my house by 11:45am the same day.

  • Fritz was a cool dude not gonna lie he walked in and it felt like I knew him 😂 but overall he gave me great recommendations and taught me a bunch of stuff to look for in my hvac and it was g A great experience!

  • Tech came out Tuesday, looked at the ac unit, told us two possible issues it might be, told us the cost of the part he thought might fix the issue, but then told us the part would take 6 weeks to come in! We needed time to think about that since we have a family and two large dogs. 6 weeks with no ac was less than ideal. We needed to plan what to do next. He left without giving us a quote for the work that needed to be done and when I requested it, I only received an invoice for the service fee we paid stating we would do our own work. Well we found the part, it arrived after three days and took less than an hour total for my husband to take out the old part and put in the new one. Not sure why this company has so many good reviews when the service we received was not good. He did not seem to know or want to fix the issue we had.

  • I cannot rate them high at all. We've been customers with them for years now, paying a monthly fee to supposedly get faster response times and included scheduled inspections on our AC and heating. However, what they have become is a nuisance with inability to stick to the scheduled appointments, lack of response, and constantly selling higher products unrelated to the inspection area, perhaps to make it worth their visit. I will be reconsidering and looking at other options. Calling them, and elevating the complaints has done nothing to resolve their problems.

  • Had a new hvac system installed 6/4. Since then a leak and 3 instances of ac failure have occurred. This visit was after making an in person visit to the company and speaking with the HVAC operations manager Michael V. He took the time to review all records and listen to my concerns and sent out his senior installer Michael S. to review the entire system and confirm that the ac failure issues were corrected. Michael S was thorough and explained the why of previous issues and the corrections that were made. He indicated a couple minor issues outstanding and that the installing technician would reach out to resolve these. Obviously the issues I’ve had with the system install are not a positive but after senior installer Michael S. reviewed with explanation along with the attention given by their operation manager Michael V. gives me hope that they have been resolved as well as their commitment to customer satisfaction. Update 7/23 - No follow-up for the “minor issues”. No communication since visit by Michael S. His and all reports from this company lack in any details/summary of what the visits addressed. Only positive is the 3rd party drywall company came out to fix the hole in the wall created when thermostat was moved. - old ac pad still sits in my yard. - minor sealing of ac in attic still outstanding (mentioned as needed at the visit by Michael S.) - copy of warranty and owner responsibility still not received I am pleased that I have not had any additional ac failures but with the repeated initial problems with the system install, difficulty getting resolution, along with overall lack of communication and follow up leaves me unsatisfied with Champion.

  • Chad was great and efficient.

  • The technician that came out was Craig Martinez and he was very efficient and fast and easy to talk to and honest and those are about all the things that you need in an AC person that's for sure I will definitely be calling and requesting him next time I need anything done it was a really great experience I can really appreciate that.

  • I have used Champion AC for years and always been pleased with their service. When it came time to replace my old HVAC unit, I came to them (and some other companies) for a quote. The sales process involved a lot of scare tactics and horror stories about what happens if you go with a company who isn't Champion. There was a major emphasis placed on the fact that they were the best at doing new installs and that they guaranteed things other companies didn't -- for example, the exact tonnage was calculated for my house, and I was assured that with Champion the install would be charged precisely to the tonnage calculated. If I hadn't had a pre-existing relationship with Champion, I honestly would have dropped them out of the running at this point for the unappreciated scare tactics alone, but after getting them to quote match for a lower price I decided to give them my business, primarily because of my past positive experiences and fact that they've always been able to get to me same-day for emergencies. My new HVAC was installed on Friday. The work was performed quietly and the installers were very respectful and nice to work with. At the end I asked if the unit had been charged to the tonnage quoted to me during the sales process, and the installers very obviously had no idea what I was talking about. Overnight on Friday night, my new system stopped working. I tried to call Saturday morning, but Champions phone lines weren't working. In the middle of July, in Texas heat, the HVAC company was unreachable. Luckily I had the phone number of the sales rep I worked with and called him -- and I very much appreciate him taking a call during his personal time on a Saturday morning. He helped get someone out to me within a few hours. The tech eventually found the problem -- a wiring issue during install. He got it fixed on-site and I was not charged for the issue. The system has been working and running well since. My pre-existing relationship with Champion, the phone call answered on a Saturday, and the relatively quick response time to my issue got this review to three stars. But otherwise I am very unhappy that after hearing so much during the sales process about the bespoke tonnage setting, the track record of install successes, and the reputation of the company to experience a system that broke within 12 hours of install, no way to reach the company through the proper channels, and a clear miscommunication between the services promised vs delivered.

  • Unfortunately I have to give a bad review because we installed a brand new AC with Champion which Roy Adame sold to us and after 6 months, the AC stopped working. They came out to “fix” it but the AC stopped working AGAIN on a Sunday and the worst part is I called as an emergency but no one came out to fix our AC right away. You would think a reputable company would have technicians at the ready on call to respond to any emergencies! And now, the AC has stopped working for the FIFTH time!! 😤 We are really fed up being this is a brand new AC we got with them which we paid a bomb for ($20,000+) so we expect good equipment and service. Why are we being punished with having to live with failed BRAND NEW AC in this hot Texas summer weather after spending thousands of dollars for cool reliable air.. shame on you Champion! 😡 we demand a REFUND now

  • Your service tech Mr Chase was very helpful and knowledgeable explaining everything he was doing .He worked on one of our Minnie’s and repaired and replaced a UV light. He also took pic’s for there reference and also gave us copies as well.

    Pedro L.

  • Chase did a thorough job replacing a blower motor and fan. He checked the system after installation to make sure it was within recommended parameters. Parts took almost 3 weeks to arrive and Champion parts department did a poor job of communication about status. I called multiple times and finally received a text with minimal information. I understand that delivery dates are uncertain but provide me with the best information you have. When no one calls back it is very frustrating
