  • -I want to preface this review by saying call Brothers Brothers Plumbing, Heating & Electric, they will do whatever you are hoping The Cooler Company will do better and at a better price - I called The Cooler Company based on their advertising themselves as "Denver’s leading Evaporative Cooler Installer". I should have backed out when the person who answered my call didn't seem to know what swamp cooler was. I reported that my swamp cooler was leaking and I needed someone to take a look at it. She asked where it was leaking from - I said the unit is on my roof, and I am pregnant so I have not gone onto my roof and do not know where it is leaking from, or why, so that is why I am calling a professional. Anyway, I scheduled an appointment. An hour or so after my appointment window passed and no one showed up, I called back to confirm whether I had scheduled or not. The person said I had, but the tech wasn't going make it that day and could come Monday instead (this was a Friday). I said to just cancel and I would call someone else. Suddenly they were able to find someone to come out the next morning. The tech who came out the next morning seemed, a little out of it. He checked the cooler, adjusted the filter and advised we had the wrong size of filter and that is probably why it was leaking. I paid and he left. Later, I turned on the swamp cooler and guess what? It was leaking. I called back to let them know the issue remains unresolved. They said they would call me the next morning to schedule someone to come back out. No call. I emailed to make sure they have my correct email because I did not receive my receipt or the report from the service call. No response. Poor communication, lack of professionalism, I do not recommend using The Cooler Company. Evaporative coolers are simple machines, and getting help working on one should not feel like pulling teeth. I called Brothers and they came out same day, fixed the problem and charged $40 less for the service call.

  • The Cooler Company did a good job replacing all the pads on our evaporative cooler, and then later Manuel replaced the controller, so we're pleased with their work.

  • I made a dummy mistake and instead of coming out here Jason asked me to troubleshoot on my own. I was able to fix everything in a moment and it saved me a lot of money. I use delta t for all my ac/heater and humidifier calls.

  • Have used this company for years beginning with new heating system, and air conditioning , as well yearly maintenance Great company and great service , always prompt, staff very knowledgeable Unfortunately stopped using this company in June 2026 as they must have changed hands or something as they seemed to not care about the long time customer, wouldn't use them again

  • Nothing but Regret We had a new swamp cooler installed and our old one removed. We liked our old unit but the housing had rusted through. Right before installation they made a swap on the unit. I was assured it was a better unit and there were “no downsides” to the alternative unit. We have found the installed system to be inappropriate for our home. It is oversized so it introduces a ridiculous amount of moisture into the house. Most of my doors are now so swollen with humidity that they are difficult to open and close. We asked them to come look at it and their advise was a combination of “leave all your windows WIDE OPEN all the time to clear out the moisture” and “get over it”. What a waste of water to fill my house so full of humidity that I have to leave every window open to clear it out. This also means our ability to keep the house cool when we are not home is limited. I am also concerned about mold. When the budget allows, we are going to hire a competent company to take this unit out and install a properly sized unit. They did add 2 new vents and that went ok.

  • Tyler came out here and fixed a problem in 2 hours that another company came out 4 times for and gave up. These guys can fix niche units. Tyler has incredible customer service and is really smart. The electricians that came out were polite and efficient. They clearly knew their stuff. This team just made my week. Will be using them for all issues moving forward. Absolutely blown away by the service quality.

  • I'm in the parking lot looking for the entrance. I called and told the young lady what I was looking for she gives the phone to a technician. I understand but I tell the guy that I'm in the parking lot and it's weird that you don't want me to come inside and he replies that he would meet me at the door and I could explain what I was shopping for. Why would they not want a customer/vendor/handyman inside the establishment. Everything is not about race or bigotry or prejudice and yet there's this.

  • Amazing service and even better rates! I was treated with kindness and respect from start to finish, and all of my needs were met. Communication was clear, quick, and professional, making the entire process smooth and stress-free. I highly recommend their services to anyone looking for great customer service and competitive pricing!

  • I was initially hesitant to go with the Cooler Company because recent reviews were lower than other companies. I had four different HVAC companies visit, check out my issue (an evaporative cooler problem), and bid on the project. The Cooler Company was more impressive than all of them. They were thorough in their analysis of my issue and gave me a fair estimate for the work. They installed a new cooler for me and when I wasn't satisfied with the performance of the cooler (it only had two speeds, the lower of which was too high), they upgraded the cooler (for a fair price) within two days. At every point, from the original estimate, to the planning and execution of the work, to the re-install of an upgraded cooler, all my interactions were very positive. In particular, Steve W. and his crew, and John, the company COO, were highly professional and accommodating. I will definitely use them in the future. Thank you!

  • Avoid this company at all cost. They don’t stand behind their product or service and constantly find more ways to charge you more money. As a longtime customer I am sad to say I have cut all ties with them. I gave them several chances to redeem themselves all to no avail.

  • The Cooler Company installed a Breezair evaporative cooler on our roof and ran ducts into each bedroom about 10 years ago. The install was good, and the Breezair is fantastic. Couldn't live without it at this point. But this season, when I de-winterized the cooler and got it running, it was vibrating excessively from collection of dust on the fan blades. I can see the dust, I just don't really want, or have time, to disassemble the thing and clean it. I called the Cooler Company and scheduled a service, told them that it was vibrating, so it probably needs to be cleaned, and could also use a new belt. While I was at work, the incompetent service technician showed up tried to talk down to me over the phone. He tried to explain how an evaporative cooler works and that the one thing he could see about my unit was that I hadn't been cleaning it. The entire conversation was insulting, not only because I'm an engineer and I know how it works, but because I clean the basin of the Breezair obsessively every spring and fall. He said the vibration could be the result of several potential issues, but he didn't actually do anything to troubleshoot it. I asked if he could just go ahead and clean the blades, but he said he "doesn't necessarily do that." He then offered a replacement belt for $280. Yes, $280 for a belt that is $10 at Ace Hardware. So at the end of the day, I paid $139 for the service call by an incompetent technician who provided no actual service or even useful information. I don't remember his name, but I would gladly call him out if I did. Anyway, I picked up a belt from Ace and got up on the roof this morning to clean every blade on the fan with a long-handled dryer vent brush and a cordless blower. It's running smoothly again. Needless to say, I won't be calling the Cooler Company for anything in the future.

  • shop around, the technician left the cooler covers on the roof.

  • Stay away. What used to a be reputable company is NOT. They left my evap cooler in shambles after paying a fortune for simple seasonal turnon/turnoff. We are just now discovering the damage: broken parts neatly stacked inside the swamp cooler. They also informed me that they needed to install a new water valve - which The Cooler Company themselves installed in 2017 (we said no way). And then wanted to charge $1K for changing the filters.

  • Our swamp cooler, installed five/six/seven years ago by the Cooler Company (it's hard to remember when exactly) is still blowing strong and cold. No issues. I had a minor hardware issue today during startup (issue with a flex line as it happened, nothing to do with the cooler) and a tech on the phone at the Cooler Company was beyond helpful on the phone helping me identify the issue. No charge. So, my review: use this company. Their products last. They really seem to care for their customers. They rock!

  • DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY! I spent almost $9k on a brand new evaporative cooler. I was never instructed on the proper shut down for winter, I was never contacted following the installation to discuss proper shutdown in the Fall. Now my 8 month old cooler has multiple parts to replace and they are taking zero accountability.

  • The sales force does a great job of selling the Breezair Evaporative Cooler but if you have any issues, get your checkbook out because the company charges for everything. The wall control on my brand new system, installed only 8 months ago, is not “loading” when turned on for the season. The Cooler Company wants to charge a service call of $140 to figure out why. Should be under warranty for something like this!

  • I had a really good experience several years ago when the Cooler Company installed a BreezeAir evaporative cooler at my old 1950s house. I have had very few problems with the unit, and been able to fix all of them myself. The one time I had problems with an older swamp cooler at a different address, they were happy to service it for me and their pricing was very reasonable. I have since moved and this time around I'm interested in installing a heat pump. They sent a technician out 3 weeks ago. He took images of my whole house but he told me he was new and he was unable to answer most of my questions. I heard nothing for two weeks, so called last week and they told me to expect an estimate Monday. It is now Wednesday and I have heard nothing. I'm really disappointed in their communication this time around, especially since they were so easy to work with previously. Others were able to answer my questions on the spot and give me estimates very quickly.

  • Wow! They were the most affordable of all our estimates. Did an awesome full swamp install in four hours. Really impressed.

  • I had a new furnace, bosch heat pump and a rheem hybrid water heater installed. The cooler company installed in a timely fashion and Gordy did a great job installing it. Everything seems to be working fine and do not have any issues at the time. The price was just right also for all of this to be installed.

  • Had an ac / heating unit installed. Multiple problems and bad service. Would not use again. Charged for every service call even when they did not fix the problem or gave wrong information.

    Casey C.

  • They went above and beyond to identify the initial issue for why my relativley new water heater crapped out, and setup my drainage in a way that would no longer cause future water damage to my wall with leakage.

    Corey F.

  • Great installation, product, and people. Stayed cool all summer.
